I don't think most folks are "clutching pearls" it's just a bunch of guys talking about what they personally find cringe worthy. In fact the only guys "clutching pearls" are the ones defending their builds. It was supposed to be a light hearted razzing.
Look back through the thread and you will...
I have a 24 limited with 15,500 miles. I paid $52,000 for it. So to lose 10k after 2 years doesnt seem bad to me. Also the first couple of years see the worst hit to resale.
This may be more due to spring rates as opposed to just shocks. The reality is a Tacoma Sport is the harshest riding of all trim levels. Totally serious suggestion. Consider renting a car for the trip. Unfortunately I just don't think there is a cost effective way to make your truck ride "soft"...
That is Mod! I did that using OEM Toyota everything. I wanted every comfort option available plus HUD, plus AVS, plus dual zone climate, heated and cooled seats, padded door cards, no cloth seats, sunroof, etc. They dont offer those on Sports. You can't add a HUD or AVS or cooled seats...
Fellas doesn't need your permission or blessing. This is just a thread about mods that the general tacoma4g userbase finds "cringe". Nothing more. You certainly have a right to disagree.
For arguments sake here is what AI thinks. Now before you say Fkk AI your the actual authority you should...
Too many to name but here are a few. Light bars that are on all the time. They are illegal to run on public roads and can blind oncoming traffic at night. Large wheel spacers and extreme offset wheels (skateboard) look ridiculous and cause poor handling and excessive tire and suspension...
Man I feel you. Except I get about 10.5 in my 392 Rubicon highway or city take your pick. But my main complaint isn't the $75 of premium fuel to fill it, it's the fact that you have about 200 miles of real world driving range. The 392 needs a 30 gallon tank in the worst way.
The Tacoma even...
I also have the RC's. Don't love the oval holes on the Chinese ones. If your on the fence support the American company is my suggestion. Plus they look better.
Glad you got a laugh! Absolutely subjective because it's called an opinion. I would hope you have the opposite view because it would be a shame to spend 60k on a truck you didnt like.
They were 2 years ago when the hype trumped reality. The Trailhunter is just not very visually appealing. The Snorkel is noisy and ridiculous looking cruising through the Walmart parking lot and the bed rack thing is pretty polarizing and dysfunctional as well. The Bronze wheels...well you have...
Update. I have reached out to Lexland to cancel the order. I purchased this based on the image on the order page which looks like an open design. My bad for not doing more research but based on the image below does that not look like an open handle? It sure does to me.
We will see how...
Yes I did. I keeps the resonator intact so the sound is pretty much the same. It is tucked up nicely out of the way. It is above the spare tire so that would likely hit first before the exhaust. And finally, there is no way to make a 4 cylinder sound good. You can put a fancy aftermarket exhaust...
