  1. My 2025 Tacoma suspension setup: FOX 3.2 Live Valve + Camburg Billet Upper Control Arms UCA

That Camburg billet UCA Looks a carbon copy of the Icon ones I have on my 2005. Nice setup!
  2. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Over the weekend I added these molle based bins to the bed divider, two of each size to keep smaller truck and outdoor activity related items in the bed. They can be had here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGWZKPFL?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1...
  3. Mods that make you cringe..

I had to put my reading glasses on, I thought it said twat patrol, lol!!
  4. Snow chains/cables recommendations?

Oldish thread alert... I am wanting to get updated chains for my Trailhunter, use them a couple times a Winter at most since AT/ KO's seem to do really well and I have a lot of experience with them (300,000+ miles). Now I am running bigger tires, 275/70/18 and wonder what will be easy to get...
  5. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Got my divider in, I dig it, keep my gear corralled...
  6. 2024 Tacoma Transmission Overheating on Long Climbs Off-Road

In my opinion and experience in owning several turbo and supercharged vehicles, having real and reliable gauges that go beyond the OEM ones are a must. As I waited for my truck to deliver, I weighed the pro and con of the Scangauge III and the iDash and hands down, iDash is simply *the* way to...
  7. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

I have the Gen-4 on order for a decent price, it just shipped. I'm looking forward to using it with my Diamondback Switchback cover that I put on last night:
  8. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

I'm used to the noise now, it's a hoot for sure. But those low IAT's, wow is that worth the price of admission. I'll tell you what I would buy though if someone made it... It would be awesome if it was switchable from fender to RAI for Summer / Winter and downpours. Pop the hood, turn a crank...
  9. 2024 Tacoma Transmission Overheating on Long Climbs Off-Road

I spent the better part of an hour reading about this issue in great detail, people’s accounts of going into limp mode, what the Toyota gauge is telling you in terms of temp across the scale and even watched that crazy towing video with the guys seeing trans temps over 270F on the iDash gauge...
  10. Diamondback Switchback 2.0 folding bed cover: early review

Thanks. In looking at the top of my tailgate, I was thinking of adding a slick vinyl tape over the grooved parts to make the seal transition smoother. Dust intrusion sounds logical and will be a scheduled maintenance item, like regular door seal cleaning.
  11. 2024 Tacoma Transmission Overheating on Long Climbs Off-Road

These are about 20F degree cooler temps for the same effects as I have been finding online. Either way I am not "cool" with 220-230 as I am seeing so I will look into an aux cooler. I also need to add the Toyota gauge to one of my readouts so I can at least compare what the scale is saying vs my...
  12. 12V battery problems 24 TrailHunter

Do you know offhand what the standard charging profile would be? Specifically any hybrid 2025+ that is known to have an alternator, in my case a 2026 Trailhunter.
  13. Long Range America Fuel Tank on 4th Gen Tacoma

Huh...hanging down another 1/2" is a bit of a bummer. They know people overland / offload these rigs, I would have gladly parted with a few gallons in order to maintain proper clearance, especially with the break over clearance of a long bed.
  14. 2024 Tacoma Transmission Overheating on Long Climbs Off-Road

Not a problem, I get it. I have driven Toyotas in truck form since my first, a used 2WD 1982 5 speed. I have also driven a Subaru, VW and Audi. I am going to knock on wood and say none of them have left me stranded due to bad engineering or a widespread defect. Any issue I have had with a car...
  15. Diamondback Switchback 2.0 folding bed cover: early review

Interesting and had not thought of that. I would think overall it would be fine since I would be opening the first panel to get the hose to the front wheels anyway?
  16. 2024 Tacoma Transmission Overheating on Long Climbs Off-Road

I have had my 2026 Trailhunter long bed for about three weeks, been driving it a lot to break it in properly which has been great, at 1450 miles now. Let's set the stage, I live about 20 miles from Aspen, do the back and front side of Aspen Mountain several times a year. I also do lots of...
  17. Diamondback Switchback 2.0 folding bed cover: early review

So I get mine on Tuesday, I am hearing some with the power tailgates are having issues with the tailgate not operating correctly with the covers on. Did you have any issues with that and either way, do you have any tips in that regard?
  18. Has anyone done the OTT Tune?

That is great to hear. Although I might need to upgrade to the data logging version now, doh!
  19. Has anyone done the OTT Tune?

Hi Justin, I would be using Luke Smith / High Country Tuning for my 2026 hybrid but I have a question. I have my OBDII port taken up with a Banks iDash Pro gauge, I assume you just need to pull it in order to do an ECU flash for a base tune or does there have to be a dongle of some kind in that...
