I flew to Vegas in ā24 to pickup my TH. Very specific on the 6ā bed, was hard to find. Got the truck I wanted. Paid a little extra but in my line of work clients pay a bit extra for my services anyway. Itās not like theyāre having a hard time moving these trucks off the lot, even with rates jacked
Trickle charger, normal mode and/or a solar setup w/a charge controller. I use the solar setup, drive similar distances even less and resolved my starter battery issues. I have a ā24 TH and yes not driving it enough youāll get battery problems.my dealership swapped the OE battery. No issues...
The inverter shutting down randomly after turning it on is correlated to the state of charge on the NiMHā¦if the hybrid pack is low enough, all engine power will go to charging the cell to its optimal levels (i.e., it goes into a self-preservation mode for a bit, also heat could be a factor as...
Thing about remote starting is you physically need to be at the truck driver side console to initiate 120v inverterā¦or at least the last time I checked this it wonāt turn on remotely or by itself. Requires you pressing the switch. Iām guessing thereās a wireless workaround but your warranty is...
If you run accessory mode (engine off/not fully powdered on) and run any aux switches or the back bed USB or 12v cig lighter port ā¦it will pull down power on the starter battery and should* cut power when SOC gets low - with enough to start the truck and then youād idle the truck and the hybrid...
A little cut & sew job during the heat of the day last couple weeks. Hardest part was convincing the wife I wouldnāt screw up her sewing machine š¤š¼ I used a cheapy Amazon āSUV coverā, winged it, figured I could return it if it wasnāt wide enough. Wanted some* degree of flock in the cover for...
Doesnāt work at night but that can be fixed with a small led ditch light on an aux switch! Waiting on my drop-in series 10 anchors to clean up the harness on the roof rack
For the boys who run gear on the roof for long trips or windy days š¤š¼

Texas manā¦sucking in all the business good for themā¦a purist is like my LC is made in Japan. But Iāve ridden in the new LC, own a TH and I think mine is nicer TBH
Yea if you drive 80mph across the desert in a TH in a headwind youāre getting 12.8. But if you take the scenic route and make some stops, youāre getting sticker. Tail wind on the way back youāre getting 25.6. Unless of course youāre rocking dump truck treads. Then 11.7. Good luck fitting that...
Heavy as F⦠Like a fat man sitting on your bumper. They have to be steel for swing out IDK, make it in titanium for a midsize dammit, I got the long bed can fit my bike in the bed, might get a 1UP but just for 1-3 bikes - largely aluminum and they make a swing out (also steel, hell, make it out...
Looks like you had great weather, largely avoided bad air quality areas w/wildland fires currently flaring up so Iād call that a success and well worth it. Great pics. ESP camping on the edge of the Grand Canyon šš¼
That Grape Solar unit āisā the trickle charger. Outputs 12v 10A max running this setup since February: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Grape-Solar-PWM-10A-IP68-Charge-Controller-GS-PWM-10A-IP68/334393733

The ā24 THs have the same parasite draw, double check your lights, scene lights, aux etc. swap the starter battery, get a maintainer or a solar charger controller. If your start battery is dialed, truck is dialed.
So yes and no on cloudy days, kinda a mix of the hybrid pack being in the sweet spot 1/3rd to 1/2 charge, optimal outside temps and definitely the starter cell being topped off which can take awhile. Those 3 variables, and if you run ECO mode no AC you can really squeeze a lot of engine off...
I focus on trip MPGs currently/ with a bunk cell itās ~15-18 MPGs for a relatively flattish 8mi round trip, with a properly charged healthy cell same trip is 24-27mpgs. City in town roads
