I've always owned weathertech liners or more recently maxpider liners, but both still end up allowing debris to get behind/between all the edges.
Definitely interested in a group buy to try these out for the first time!
I remember reading this months ago not really thinking much of it because I didn't understand the issue. When I went to use my locking hitch pin for the first time today I realized the problem... Too short š now I get why the truck includes one from factory.
Thanks for doing the research for us!
Received another update today... X4s production issues resulting in a delayed release until at least end of June.
Unfortunately have to stick it out because I currently have the BAK-specific Billie bars for the relocated bed rails. Switching to the sentry would require a new set of brackets...
I noticed the same thing this past weekend with stock tires. The rear bump stops were frequently bottoming out loaded down with RTT and full bed of camping equipment. Wasnāt even squatting that badly. Hoping aftermarket options come out soon!
Dang thatās a bummer. Iāve found so many capped connectors around the truck Iām starting to think most of them are useless without additional hardware. š
When did you place your preorder? I placed mine 5/1 for the long bed version and it's still pending fulfillment.
I sent them an email on Friday and finally got something other than a canned response:
"The BAK Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover is one of the covers that the platform is changing. Bak...
I've been wondering about this since the accessory was listed by Toyota PT949-35340. I have a TRD OR base and noticed the connector was present when I pulled the taillight off to install bed stiffeners. It's pretty hard to access from the tail light or below.
Someone with an upgrade or...
Tried calling today (Day 21) and no update, waiting for another response from the manufacturer.. apparently this information isn't readily available from their main office. Haven't received any quality answers yet.
The revolver product pages have since been relisted so maybe that's a positive...
Finally got it! Fits nicely and as described.
I have one of the Amazon console organizers and the new screws protrude just enough to make it difficult to close. Cut a few notches in the organizer, good to go!
Are you saying YZZN1 isn't compatible? I literally just did the first oil change an hour ago and had no issues using it. I noticed they weren't visually identical on the inside, but it threaded on just fine. š¬
I was also disappointed to see this not included, especially with the limited visibility out the back window having a rooftop tent installed.
It's been a long standing topic with all Toyotas, not just the Tacoma. It probably isn't something that will be updated any time soon.
If I did more technical offroading I probably wouldn't install one, but the convenience is really nice long term. I'm waiting to install one until after the Toyota care expires though.
Interesting article. The timing sounds like a worst case scenario when paired with the grill shutter issue, which was being resolved mid-February.
The article partially explains some of the inconsistent build quality. Even though there are isolated interior issues and possible mechanical...
In the same boat... Pretty frustrating. I've reached out multiple times and they've said the "lead time from the manufacturer is 20 days." That's 4 days away but I'm not holding my breath. In 4 days I'll be calling to escalate a better response.
They recently added Truxedo options for the 6ft...
It's basically a referral program. Fill out a form on Costco's website and they will funnel you to the nearest participating dealer. The intent is to streamline the purchase process by Costco negotiating the purchase price on your behalf. At the time of purchase the dealer provides you a pricing...
I turned it off using carista. It does make a noticeable difference.
After turning it off I realized the biggest difference was during a cold start and the first few minutes of driving. The turbo noise was nearly non-existent. Paying closer attention to the boost gauge it seems like the turbo...
