ah bummer. I see it now. I looked over the instructions quickly and missed it. On my 2016 I made my own drain tubes that were more elegant. Will likely do the same on this one assuming I can get it to fit nicely.
Looks like the new MX4 no longer has drain tubes? If so that’s a nice improvement! Mine is slated to arrive Friday.
Seems that the OEM covers shipped to date still use the old MX4 drop rail system.
What sets apart Bronze Oxide is it seems to have pearl effect. It really has a unique change of color under each lighting scenario. I too thought it looks like the Subaru green but the pearl aspect is different for sure.
Thanks and awesome that you have one on the way! With a newborn just arrived didn’t have time to go get quotes but my guess is $60-$100 to have one made at a local exhaust shop.
I have supplies for ceramic coat, now I need to find the time to do it!
I’m very happy with tint on the sunroof. It...
Ordered a “trail pipe” from my local dealer’s online parts site and received next day. Cost was $104. Install was easy but did require slightly jacking the back up to maneuver the old pipe out.
Happy with the clean look. Slight drone at idle but otherwise very little difference in sound.
Ya these are definitely more flexible and form better to the contours of the floor (hence the name I suppose!). I like that they are grippier than Weatherbeaters (particularly helpful with the manual).
Side note… I was surprised how worn the driver side carpet mat is after only 700 miles!
Cross posting here. Received my X-Act Contours. Definitely better than the Weatherbeaters though they are a bit thinner than I was expecting. Seems that the Weatherbeaters and X-Act Contours come out of the same mold but X-act Contours are more rubbery and Weatherbeaters are more like a soft...
Now that I’ve installed them, I’m liking them a bit better. Definitely better than the weather beaters. I like the grip. The driver side fits perfect for me. The passenger side has a little bit of an imperfection, but not too bad.
Just got my X-Act Contours from Real Truck and I take back my comment…seems that Weatherbeaters and X-Act Contours use the same mold??
I originally had a set of weatherbeaters that I just sold. They are a more firm almost plastic like material which I didn’t care for. The X-Act Contours are...
Tailhunter kit is listed on their site already.
Nick - how thick is the Trailhunter spacer? I think 1” would adequately reduce the factory rake while maintaining a small amount of rake. My TRD Off-road is 1.25” lower in the front versus back so some of the other kits from competitors would...
Thanks for chiming in. I do agree that the risk is low since the strut is captured and there are no loads on the studs. My concern has been more around stripping the threads when torqued to spec (or if a torque wrench isn’t used - over torquing). I was hoping to discuss with someone at Peak on...
I had OEM liners in my 2016 and was content with them. I ordered the OEM mats for my 24 Taco but returned them. They are now thinner, have less coverage, and the rear mats are tiny and not one piece covering the hump. I’m looking forward to the Contours! The coverage is awesome and the quality...
X-act contours have dropped! Available for auto and manual transmission! These are much nicer than Weatherbeaters! They currently have a $25 rebate too!
