the sport suspension is stiffer to allow the truck corner better (not as much rolling). The OR is more cushy for sure, I'm really enjoying mine but I do find that I can hit those bump stops a bit to easily in the rear.
Seems like we'd need to cut out some of the bed liner to get the core parts installed for those of us without it OEM. I'm also wondering if it requires the more beefy power that can only be had on the hybrid models. I'd love to get that compressor installed on my TRD Off-road.
The SR5 has leaf springs in the rear which provide more spring back when going over bumps but, will provide better support if you're carrying a big load/towing. The Off-road is the opposite of stiff, it's designed to allow you to drive over uneven road, dirt roads at higher speeds while...
My neighbor and friend bought a TRD Sport with 6ft bed, they put a 5 ft bed mat in it... I told him that he should go back to the dealership and get the 6ft bed mat, if they make it.
When I pull up you'll see my son (he's still pretty young), wife, dog, and me... I would have gotten a Tundra but I value the size of the Tacoma and I think the three of us can fit in just fine.
I don't buy it honestly. I've got a hybrid RAV4 and the primary source of fuel savings is from either snail slow starts to prevent the ICE engine from turning on early, and then coasting at speed where all the electric motor needs to do is just maintain the speed. When that happens it straight...
I gave up waiting on the hybrid as well as realized while the trailhunter was a sweet trim, I just won't use it for overlanding enough to justify it. My TRD OR Premium non-hybrid goes down the production line today.
Hey Mark, I'm in the same boat... I've been saving up for YEARS to buy the new model Tacoma and now that it's finally here I cannot wait. I test drove one back in February and immediately put down a deposit on one that had all the features and in the color I wanted. My production date is 4/8...
That's a shame, I was looking at the Rivian for my first truck last year but the entry price and the lack of range for a vehicle I planned to take off road was just not there along with the concerns about the company being able to stay alive long enough to support any warranty claims.
