Iāve owned a couple 3rd Gen Tundras and 4th Gen Tacomas, all had this bad fitment you refer to, except the TH bed scene rails. They fit perfect, no lift.
Iām not sure if this is due to better design, or the fact the sport bar mount kept pressure on the top of plastic while summer heat helped...
There was absolutely no intent to rub it in anyoneās face, thatās actually why I waited to post anything. Did not mean to offend. There is no āBragā about this. That was informative to let people know itās possible to save with Smartpath, even on the Halo models.
Those TRD steps are not...
Toyota Inventory search was my friend. I searched mid day last Thursday, picked up my TH 24 hours later. Mudflaps and bedliner were the only add ons. The dealership even honored the Smartpath discount of $1000.
Seems It is AC related. If I turn off AC, the fan stops and it sounds like previous trucks.
Funny⦠the AC in my truck is super cold. Iāve alway left AC on low in all my vehicles but 70 in this one is similar to low in the others.
Hybrid ownersā¦.when sitting idle and your engine goes to Hybrid mode, do you have a fan running constantly in the engine bay? Iāve owned a couple hybrids, Tundra and Tacoma, and donāt recall the fan running in hybrid mode. Almost complete silence on previous trucks.
Iām experiencing this on...
Steering wheel slightly off center when driving on flat, straight roads, and outer tire wear. For the Pro, when looking at truck from the front, thereās a visual outward lean to the top of the tires, Camber is off.
Not trying to downplay the issues suffered by a few in this thread. Hopefully once the repairs are made, your experience will improve, and youāll love your truck.
My ownership experience may go sour in the future, but so far itās been very good. My issues are more minor annoyances, than issues...
Your dealer was ok using 3rd Gen specs for the targets?
I donāt think my dealer will do that, but if youāre happy with the alignment Iāll show them the print out. Appreciate the update.
With same settings and sourceā¦
The JBL in my TRD OR is great! Crisp, clear, balanced power with clean bass. My TRD Proā¦not so much. Seems overpowered, bass heavy, not as clean, actually annoying after a few minutes. When bass is reduced, still not clean sound.
Iām hoping the Pro JBL just...
Funny, I prefer to avoid attention, especially on the road, but Iāve had people hanging out of their vehicles staring, then giving thumbs up with big smile. My wife drove the truck one day this week and had several guys asking about the truck and wanting to see the inside. Raving about it...
The ISO seats wouldnāt be my 1st choice, but my dislike is actually not because of the rear space. I prefer the ergonomics of the Premium Softex seats.
I was a little surprised at the suggestion of suspension setting 1 for on road, but the trucks are delivered at setting 2.
I plan to experiment with tire PSI and suspension combinations. Of course, the feel will change again once the stock tires are replaced.
