manufactures typically wait sometime between stopping production on the old model and begining production of the new one until they release pricing and specs. Probably because they don't want to hurt sales for the old model. Retooling the equipment usually takes at few months with some short...
You technically can't custom order Toyota's. Your only able to choose from dealer allocations. Dealers don't even having pricing or specs at the moment. Some have a waiting list and that's the closest you'll come to getting in line for one.
If there is anything to take from this. It will probably be a "worst" case senario to fuel economy. I'm sure it had a lot of short distance driving, demo setup and start ups from media. If the Tundra can get 19 the Tacoma can only improve.
You were going the same route I am. I had a 17' Tacoma and traded it for a 19' Ranger. I just couldn't stand the engine, trans, and seating position of my Tacoma any longer. I'm not considering going back to Tacoma since it sounds like they fixed the seating position comfort and a more torque...
I wouldn't count on it. Overall dimensions were said to be mostly unchanged. But the isometric seats definitely appear to be at least 1" thicker than the standard seats.
The only thing I don't like is that Toyota decided to use a metal ARB rear bumper instead of a front bumper. Similar to what the Bronco has. A metal front bumper is so much more useful than putting it on the rear.
I'd rather have the standard seats in the Pro than the IsoDynamic Seats. I can image they are quite a bit more $$ to make than the typical seats and they look to reduce rear seat leg room by at least 1.5". I don't see the little benefits they may provide out weighing the negatives.
Does anyone have any recommendations for Valley Toyota dealers? Or found any that will accept Costco, True Car special pricing? I've never had any interactions with Toyota dealers here
