What city was this in? Did you notice if it was a long/short bed? Did it have the big or small mud guards?
It's unbelievable what these dealerships try to get away with. I guess there's enough stupid consumers out there to take advantage of with their garbage.
They came stock from the factory on my truck. I have a feeling that they changed out the skinny ones for the wide ones at the pre-delivery QA centre at the port.
It’s too dark out to go searching for part numbers right now but I will check tomorrow and report back.
I see a lot of issues with rock chips on the panel in front of the rear wheels on these trucks. It occurred to me that I haven’t seen any pictures of issues with long bed trucks. Maybe the flare for the wheel well is far enough back on the long beds?
Does anyone with a long bed truck still...
The splash guards / mud flaps that came on my truck are quite wide. Measured at their widest point, they are 10.5” wide. They stand outside the body panel quite wide and are even with the fender flares.
My truck is 2024 Trailhunter long bed.
I’m just on my second tank of fuel through my Trailhunter. On the first tank, I got about 12.5 L/100km (18.8mpg). On my second tank 8 got 13.7 L/100km (17.2mpg). I’ve been driving the same routes, and 8ve been keeping it chill during the break in period.
I know it’s not a huge difference, but...
As far as I can tell, the ONLY extended warranty even close to worth it's cost is the Toyota Extra Care Protection (ECP). I bought the 7year, 120,000 km (I'm in Canada) and it wasn't cheap, but I drive one of the hybrids, and with the transmission issues and general vehicle complexity, I thought...
I also went with the TH for the 6' bed. in Canada that's the only way it comes. My requirements were hybrid powertrain (for maximum power of course), 6' bed for hauling "stuff", and a reasonable complement of off road goodies to get me to my fishing and hunting spots (and back home too).
The...
My wife is a petite person so I added these steps for her. They are made by N-Fab and they are a perfect fit. Two nuts and bolts each side and you’re done...
Great looking install. I just got mine put on today. I have a couple of questions. Do you have any issue with the seal at the bottom of the rear hatch catching on the tailgate lip when you open the hatch up? Mine rubs pretty hard when I open or close it. In time, I'm concerned it will wear...
I just got my cap installed today. It has the same issue with the tight seal as the door opens past the tailgate. I've had a pretty close look and I would not be comfortable moving the cap forward any more than it already is. There is a flange near the base of the cap that is probably withing...
Folks,
My wife is a petite woman of 5'1" (well almost) and getting up into the Trailhunter is a bit of stretch for her. I also noticed when I get out I tend to slide my butt across the seat. I wanted an easier way for my wife to get in, and a way for me to get out that wouldn't wear out the...
Yeah - RATS. That's just the plug for the threads where the bump stops screw in. Bummer. At least we know we can go get them if we like, but I'm not planning on jumping my TH any time soon.
Yeah, I think that would bother me. Is the cap snugged up to the cab as far as it can reasonably go? I bet even 1/4" would make a difference.
Of course, you could always drop the tailgate first, but that's pretty inconvenient.
