Pulling a trailer will kill your MPG. I was finally getting 18-19 on the highway (65-75) from TN to Moab the around Moab and finally up to SLC and down to St George. There we picked up our TetonX. ~ 3500 lbs and 150-200 in bed. MPG plummeted to 10-12 MPG. What hurts even more is the stinking...
I need stiffer coils on back with AluCab canopy and camping gear and pulling 3500 pound trailer. These were the ones I was looking at. Hadn’t thought about changing out front coils too!
Best I’ve gotten is 17 with usual around 15.5+.. With wider tires, Prinsu rack on Top and AluCab Contour canopy on back.. Even before all the additions, 15-17 is best I get.. And this is calculated using Fuelly App not depending on the Truck calculations (which are worse).. Still say the small...
Maybe try Sandisk or Lexar cards? Been shooting digital for as long as digital cameras have been around and those 2 brands hold up better than others..
Have any idea if it will work with TH without the 2nd and 3rd shark fin antennas? If it works with the digital rear view mirror without the additional antennas, I will take it..
Looks good.. Have similar on my TH.. Like that you got the lock covers. I had my bed camera and Digital Rear view mirror camera relocated to back of canopy.
love it so far.. My lights inside are independent so can turn each one off or on as needed.
My TH has a Prinsu Pro rack with light cutouts and Rigid light bar.. Very happy so far.. Definitely more wind noise than naked roofline. Solidly built.. Have an AluCab Contour canopy on back and all fit together nicely.. Went with Alucab over SmartCap because of leaking issues with SmartCap..
Going Monday to Asheville to installer to have problem solved. Will post pics and comments about relocation and also the new Fog Lamp mounting brackets.
interesting idea to get rid of grill shutters but leave motors and electronics. Would love to know how they came up with idea of grill...
Great write up.. After having Prinsu Pro rack installed plus Overland Rock Sliders and Covert bumper with Warn winch, I am not impressed with CBI attention to detail. Rock sliders did not Bolt on but needed some metal modification on my part to metal hanger off frame. Shame on CBI number 1...
Question,
did your bumper come with relocation kit for the solenoid controller for winch? AVO installed mine but didnt relocate the solenoid and it his up against the grill shutter. And when AVO called them about the problem, they were no help. Also, mine TH has the Rigid Foglamps which they now...
XGrid in Las Vegas rents units.. There are numerous options out there, so it depends on how off grid you want to go. We are getting a TetonX this spring after it is built in UT (Atlas Outdoors) and sold by XGrid in Las Vegas and Knoxville, TN. I would suggest going to one of the Overland Expos...
Adding to the saga.. Sounds like fog lamps brackets still not available for the Covert Bumper. So if you have Fog Lamps and want to keep them, I would wait on purchasing a Covert Bumper until they have brackets available with the bumper. And if you have a Hybrid with a grill shutter, I would...
They sent a brief reply that basically said oops and not much more. Disappointed. OEM sliders easy to remove. CBI sliders finally line up after my son and I did some grinding/ cutting.
Good luck. If you plan on also installing a winch, I would wait until they figure out all the spacing. I will be taking mine in end of next week and they are probably going to pull the winch until something changes.
