I have used blendmount. The one I have is a generic one off Amazon. Used it for a few years on my last car and it fits the Tacoma no problem. I would personally not wait for blendmount personally. The knock offs are just as good. Search on Amazon ASIN - " B0788W1NC6". It won't allow a link.

Push it up manually and see if the lock catches and closes the last little bit. Mine did it as I bumped it or something. Once it was closed it reset it.
