I am a huge fan of the OTT tune. I paid 700 dollars to a local so cal tunner (tk 421 tunning). Took about 30 minutes. The truck is about the same mpg wise. However, the truck has so much more power and responsiveness that it's hard to hyper mile it. I will say the bigger tires did way more too...

For sure a typo but they did but very high miles on the prototype trucks, I heard upwards of 500,000 for some of them.

Heard it's 7K-8K to add on later from somewhere, when you consider the option is 1100 not worth doing that. I have the SDM, it's a great feature.

I should have clarified, I have done that trail both ways (2N02). In 4 Hi, both coming up from Pioneertown and going down with the truck loaded . It's a good time :)

I have had my trucked loaded down in 4 hi from big bear dropping into the desert and did not see temps move. Done that plenty of times. Same thing on highways out loaded down out to joshua tree. I just have never seen the issue manifest in any condition.

My gut says it's an AINSIN QC issue more than a design issue. Would explain why some overheat and others don't. Thats complete speculation though lol.

Mine had a front locker dealer installed add on!!? Yes please Toyota! I got the 5 Link as well and different fender flares, "Halo trim width" with the standard TRD OR texture just wider for all trucks, they looked similar to what Nytop and Rough country make though.
