I would not be too concerned about weight at this size too much, the trucks are toquey to where you don't notice much a difference unless you are going to 35's. I only got E load for my Ko3's because C load wasn't available yet so that is for sure the better option for our trucks.
I have 275/70/r18 Ko3's in E load on my TRD Off Road non hybrid. No power loss at all. Got the OTT tune and now it's way faster than it was stock. Ride is great. After a thousand miles or so I found that 35Psi was a bit stiff for me. The Ko3's temp will shoot up to 40 psi when driving on the...
Just spitballin but maybe a tune like the OTT tune would help? Other than that an air box swap if thats causing the issues and just leave the snorkel for "looks"
So here is the deal, 91 octane bumps the power of the engine by about 20hp and 14lb-ft of torque and maybe a bit more in some cases (ive seen a few different dyno charts some being higher than those number but no lower). Truck runs smoother, mpg is better. Turbos like higher octane. 87 is fine...
Yeah I have to agree. Ive done a lot of wheeling loaded down. A lot of miles up and down grades. Not a single issue, never seen the transmission temps move once. The overheating and limpmode indicates an issue with the truck. Take it to dealer.
I have a non Hybrid. Driven in 4Hi and 4LO in the mountains extensively and no issues. OTT is a possible "software" fix you can do now as it supposly lowers transmission temps and it's a great add overall.
My exhaust got shoved up by a rock and smashed into my ARB tow hook and looked pretty bad. Had the OEM one on order and was planing to wait for the backorder to be filled but my trail oppsie sped my timeline up. The OEM is out of stock often. Sixth Element was out of stock when I checked. NYTOP...
Kinetic recovery rope 100%, budget amazon air compressor until you get that ARB setup, traction boards are great but pricey. Soft shackles are great idea as well. The pro already has nice recovery points but you might want to consider a Factor 55 2in Hitch Receiver for other vehicles that don't...
I made the same upgrade as user @Kdbradley85, Non Hybrid TRD OffRoad I went with TRD Pro wheels instead Traihunter but they are identical 275/70R18 E Load KO3's. I really havent noticed a power difference and I get into the throttle pretty good. I was initially really concerned about weight as...
Great build! Had a similar methodology. I feel the same way about the Bilsteins. They are really good for what they are, for sure some rome for improvment but not 6000 dollars worth or at least not yet...I eventually see some 2.5 Accutune Fox or some Kings when the Bilsteins start wearing out.
The estimated range meter is horrible. Recently i've taken a few road trips in between my daily freeway comute. Since I got the truck, I agreed with the common criticism of the tank being too small and I still agree. However I'm starting to think part of the problem is that the estimated range...
I had too open up the tailgate before and there is not a lot of space in it. The latch bar runs all the way through as well. Would have do a lot of modification, it's just not worth it imo.
They are the OEM sliders. I did install them my self, very easy, no drilling, they bolt right on. Hardest part is getting them in position if you are by yourself but if you have a buddy it would go even faster. A little trick I used is using the box they come in to get close thread in one side...
Do we know what eco mode actually does other than change the throttle mapping? I just drive in sport mode most of the time and use a light foot because I like the heavier steering and more responsive throttle mapping.
