I'm in a No Fault state, and it seems that any claim can/will raise your rate. Your experience may vary, but I'd rather just pay out of pocket and not even have to worry about it.
I don't even want to worry about it being a claim. I'll pay the extra $500 ($500 deductible) to have the peace of mind of them not being able to raise my rate cause they feel like it.
You should be able to ask for the contract for each of those items and on that contract it should state that it is optional and can be declined.
Regardless, I wouldn't buy it and negotiate it off.
I'm in the same boat. Chipped and now a crack half way across the windshield. I have one on order. Called multiple glass repair places and the only source is from the dealership. It's on back order for at least a few months.
Oh, it's also $1,000.
I haven't noticed shifts while driving, but mine is jerky when going from reverse or park to drive. You definitely lurch forward or backward when it engages in gear.
I think the only way to permanently disable it is to do some modifications of the code/settings via a device.
I haven't messed with mine yet, other than to turn the sensitivity down. If it's like the Cx5 that I have, you can disable it from the menu, but it will come back on again when you...
Generally the packages that they offer you in the F&I office is where dealerships really make their money.
For reference, I was offered the same level of warranty for $1495 (not sure if it was the same company or not), which in my mind isn't a terrible deal, but I still declined.
You can buy...
Can't say that I've encountered this issue. I don't really wait around 20-45 minutes after turning the engine off to listen though.
I have noticed that my allergy pills seem to keep disappearing though, weird coincidence.
I went with the OR Premium (w/OR Package & moonroof) because I wanted something that was off road capable, not to say the Sport isn't, and from what I've read the OR rides better on and off road compared to the SR & Sport.
I disabled my trials and data transmission because they don't tell you, but they send your driving habits to insurance and conveniently raise your rates.
