Any updates on these pre-wired aux switches? Following to see how creative minds put these to good use.
I was nearly set on Offroad 6mt but recently found out Sport + 6mt in Canada includes the 3 aux switches. Another tic in the Sport + column.
Thanks for digging up all that valuable...
Between TRD off road and TRD sport plus, does anyone know the suspension differences? I know the Sport Plus has sport tune suspension but on the Toyota website the suspension specs don't look that different. Do you think that suspension travel would vary between the two models? Also you know if...
Interesting. Yes I posted 2 screenshots one of what is listed for factory Tundra of 0.86 and the second is aftermarket Tundra lugs that list 0.73.
If the second screenshot (0.73) is an accurate representation of its seat diameter and is indeed m14x1.5 thread, how handy would that be...no...
Not sure if you have calipers to get an exact on the 4g seat diameter?
I believe 4gTacoma and 3g Tundra share the same lugs specs and here I see factory seat diameter of 0.86" whereas I just found aftermarket magseat lugs for m14x1.5 Toyota with a 0.73" diameter.
Might that smaller seat diameter...
Can you post a pic of one of you factory lug nuts? I agree keeping factory appearance is important to me too.
I'll have to check out that thread you're referencing. I must have missed it.
Cheers
I wondered if that would be the case. Of course it's not a simple swap. Also. Did you get proper hubcentric rings 106.1 to 95.1?Thank you fir sharing your findings.
Regarding lug nuts..what about something like this?
Please don't take my word for it though..Best to talk to a tire shop or...
Come to think of it..in one of lead engineer Sheldon's videos, I remember him saying that the overall truck is up to 3" wider due to the beefy wheel arches on TRD Pro and Trail Hunter.
If that is the increase then it may not alter bed width.
From more searches I think the issue with 3rd gen...
I asked Trucks2go how it's possible for their 2016- 2023 to also fit the 2024's wider bed and this is their response :
"We confirmed that our bed covers will fit the 2024 Tacoma.
Not sure where youre seeing that its 3in wider."
I want to believe them but I'm leary and unfortunately don't have...
Try to keep it below 4000 rpm (maybe it's 4500, I don't have the Tacoma book in front of me) while continuing to vary engine rpm's. The 6mt makes this easier on longer drives during break in by down shifting and upshifting more often than you would normally.
While on hwy, drop down to 5th for a...
Did your Sport Plus come w a matching full size spare tire? And I wonder what your payload sticker lists on the inside of drivers door jam?
Pardon all the questions but your are the first 6MT in Canada I've seen. Exciting times!
That's disappointing to hear but oh well, can always add them later with a little MacGyvering.
I'm sure those cubbies will soon be available aftermarket, if not already. Install likely not too difficult as long as we confirm where wires are to not hit them while cutting composite bed.
Storing...
Did you look under the driver's side kick panel? If memory serves, I read on the Tundra forum that's where they found the pigtail on new gens that didn't come with brake controller from factory.
It will be very unfortunate if it's not hidden in there somewhere as I'm sure adding a brake...
You could take a page from car audio upgrades and add some butyl sound deadening and/or mass load vinyl under the carpet along the fire wall and similar to the underside of the hood. That should calm down the engine noise in the cabin.
I would love to know that myself.
Or to get a look at the wire connectors at the front door speakers and or behind the head unit.
If anyone is working on their factory stereo please post pictures!!
My gut tells me that the base audio system will be similar to the base Tundra and therefore...
