  1. Modified Air Dam on a stock 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter 4th Gen

Less than 300mi in w/the double chin on the TH, 2 fuelly logs and it’s incrementally showing some great numbers. Dry weight this thing might get 28mpg on 40+mi trips. Real weight penalty test next week / crossing the Rockies headed for Moab, headwinds & gear, firewood, water 350mi out / 350mi...
  2. Attempted Theft.

Would’ve loved a feature like pin code to drive or deep embedded electronic sequencing code through buttons on my TH! Certainly paid for it 🤙🏼
  3. Only getting 15 MPG

I’m on stock 33s on my TH. I modified an air dam and have been testing it on this trim..
  4. Only getting 15 MPG

are you running stock OE OR tires?
  5. Attempted Theft.

good tip, I like that idea for the 'occasional' added piece of mind. The repetitive action over time on that fuse box though doing this every damn night...?
  6. Attempted Theft.

but like you said, they could just tow it away and find your kill switch.
  7. Attempted Theft.

I don’t understand the “key” as in code to drive or a physical key. I’m all about additional security layers, so if your dash doesn’t light up like a Christmas tree when installing one of these I say go for it. You lose remote start…what else is lost in doing a kill switch?
  8. Attempted Theft.

You’re killing the security system, it requires power, it’s connected to the app, app also track the vehicle. I did see something interesting where a company would do some kind of start sequence where you’d have to hit a certain sequence of buttons (user defined) anywhere on the truck. Reminded...
  9. Only getting 15 MPG

This. The hyper milers are masters of coasting. I’d avoid using adaptive cruise in the city, only use it out on flat-ish hwy
  10. Attempted Theft.

The kill switch idea isn’t well thought out, especially w/a hybrid, there’s security systems & other dash cam electronics etc running in the background. You kill that it presents other problems altogether. Also vehicle theft can happen anywhere, near home, at home or while traveling. The idiots...
  11. Only getting 15 MPG

you’re probably gonna have a break in period where this engine won’t get amazing MPGs. Give it some time… drive modes do make a difference. ECO does more than throttle your acceleration, it’ll reduce a bit of power to your HVAC / air conditioning won’t feel as super cold, other electrical, etc...
  12. ISO Used Composite Splash Shields (Plastic Skid Plates)

Any fellas who upgraded their 2 front skid plate splash guards with metal skid plates, I'm interested in your OE plastic guards if you want to sell them. Just need the plastic, no bolts needed. Part Numbers 51410-AK020 and 51420-AK021. Pics attached for reference. DM me / Ship quote to 80210...
  13. Toyota OEM Parts Labor Dale Sale - 15% off with free shipping

I'm not up to speed on parts distribution or who usually sells OEM at consistently the best prices, but toyota.oempartsonline.com came in -$25 under vs. Toyota's dealer parts network w/the site wide sale & free ship when I priced some lightweight splash skids to swap on my TH in the winter...
  14. Anybody know anything about Graphene ceramic coating?

I did carbon nano chemical guys on my TH first week of ownership..works great, easy to apply. doing it every 3 years w/ spray on wax after every car wash. Already looking toward the gen 5s, not sweating a $2k shop coating esp on a celestial silver metallic + 3M PPF already installed at the...
  15. TrueBlue - 2025 Tacoma TRD OR Build

    MPGs with the new setup?
  16. Rims and tire setup for some possible snow?

I second the Nokian Outpost. Or go Michelin Agilis CrossClimate —it can do some light off-roading but mostly a hwy tire. I’m debating these and a couple other AT tires with low rolling resistance & 3PMSF
  17. Trailhunter auxiliary gas tank

have you weighed your rig on a CAT Scales? What drive mode you normally run & what’s your city/hwy mix?
  18. Anyone notice theyre brake losing sensitivity??? takes more effort to stop...

What you’re feeling is mostly normal with a mix of bigger tires and Toyota’s driver assists. 285s add weight + a longer rolling radius, so the brakes have less leverage. You’ll always need more pedal vs. stock. TSS 3.0 (PCS/PDA) will randomly prime or apply light braking, which makes the pedal...
