So far on mine the actual gauge has been accurate when I fill up (half-tank takes ~9 gal, 3/4 takes ~14).
I look at the "miles to empty" as comic relief. I'd like to just turn it off.
Never have run it low enough for the warning to come on.

I think what the OP wants is to disable the collision avoidance system so that it won't hit the brakes in the middle of the car wash. I think that would be the Pre-Collision Braking System. From the manual it looks like the truck has to be moving at 3 or more MPH for that to be active. I would...
I think he's suggesting that you can forgo buying the recovery points and just get some soft shackles. The hitch frame is nicely rounded near the ends. However, there are some flat plates welded to it near there that are rather sharp and could cut the shackles if they slide much.
I'm planning...
Find yourself 100 miles or so of highway where the speed limit runs 45-65 and no more. Let adaptive cruise control take care of the speed and pick a day where you won't be bogged down in traffic and do a "there and back" trip. See what you get from that. I've been getting 25+ mpg under those...
The "miles to empty" apparently has a 2-3 gallon buffer for people who have no common sense and won't fill up until they are coasting into a station with the engine gasping for fuel.
Was on another thread (which of course I can't find now) with other suspension component torques. I think someone got it from the Toyota service information site (which I also can't find right now).
From their FAQ page.
Do you offer custom colors?
We currently offer our SmartCap EVO Sport and EVOa Adventure in Matte Black, and our EVOc Commercial SmartCaps in OEM White. There has been discussion about possibly rolling out a custom color program sometime in the future, but nothing...
Would you share details on your memory stick?
I've only been able to get it to work with USB 2.0 sticks using a USB A to C adapter.
I don't know if it's the 8GB limit or USB 3.1 that causes the problem. At this point I'm just curious because I have a working solution that's not too cumbersome.
If it's like the sealed transmissions I've had in the past, there is a very specific procedure for checking the fluid level. Vehicle has to be level, trans oil temperature has to be within a certain range (if it gets too warm while you're mucking about, you get to wait for it to cool and start...
From another site:
He says he got them through a dealer for $200
MSRP price is about $300

Maybe some nice manufacturer...
Yeah, I haven't had a locking gas cap since cars started coming with anti-siphon filler necks.
I think what they do now to steal gas is poke a hole in the tank. Maybe others are in areas where gas still gets siphoned?
