If the axles are this weak, going to a heavier tire would probably make more break - while the tire the truck comes with isn't the greatest off roader it is lighter than a K02. TFL does this to all of their trucks so why didn't this happen to the trail boss? This is really disappointing.
So when the 2022 tundra was released there were notable problems with the axles. Since the new Taco is using the same hardware I wonder if they made the same mistake all over again
Yep, was originally supposed to start production mid Feb, then moved to 2/26, and just got an update today that production is now 3/6. So delivery is about a month after production starts but if it never starts then :poop:
So something they didn't mention in the video was that ARB rack system has built in bed stiffeners. I think they missed a lot of opportunities to discuss technical stuff
I wonder if it's even necessary for the 4th gen, isn't the 2.4 direct and port injected? Shouldn't that help with the carbon build up? I would really like to see a true air/oil separator system where the oil goes back to the engine like the aftermarket has for the WRX if this is really necessary...
I know it's very early, but does anyone know if anyone that took delivery already made any changes to the stock speakers? I'm hoping the kits for the 3G Tacos from Trail Grid will work, Crutchfield still hasn't adjusted for the 2024's yet.
So I'm not on the tracker here, but I put a deposit on a OR with the 14" screen & heated seats but no other options. I was told the production date initially for mid Feb but now it's 2/26 with an expected dealer delivery by the end of March. I might be in the minority here, but waiting won't be...
@Cali Raised LED has a new Taco torn apart for a build (posted here) and I can't really tell what I'm looking at from the picture of the truck on the lift with the grill off but maybe they can chime in?
What everyone else said plus I hear the TRD off road gets the larger brake package and possibly the 9.5" rear diff if you get the manual option. Someone around here has the PDF file that shows all the details, it's one of the reasons why I'm on this forum now :geek:. Oh, and the TRD off road...
