I guess for all of us with deposits on the Taco, do we take delivery and hope for the best or wait? I'm moving a lot closer to waiting or buying something else unless Toyota does a recall. Waiting for a production line fix means all the delivered ones will just have to wait when/if it breaks and...
This doesn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling, while it's nice that it's a part designed to fail to prevent catastrophic damage it appears to have failed at or near maximum torque (you can hear the turbo spooling in the video), the amount of time it will take for a proper fix at the...
The dealer games are awful, but if you are in the market for a new truck I'm starting to see full size trucks come way down. Some are even lower than a new TRD OR Taco...
For you guys that took delivery of your TRD off road, does the rear diff still have the standard nipple breather or did they finally put in a breather hose to route it higher?
That's a nice write up and exactly the kind of stuff I will be doing with mine. I just wish he would have climbed underneath to see if the back suspension was riding the bump stop or how much gap was there
Definitely considering a 2024 Ranger FX4, it has more interior room and a vetted powertrain. But I'm also contemplating just waiting longer due to a poor overall market that manufacturers appear to be keeping inventory low so they don't need to offer incentives to buyers. They've openly...

Depends on the dealership with how they price out trades, but always negotiate the offer and be prepared to walk away if they lowball you. Also, always come to the table pre-approved for a loan and make the dealer beat the interest rate.
See, that's what bothers me the most. They went through a lot of problems with the 22 launch of the Tundra and a lot of components on the Taco are used in other vehicles already but just packaged differently. I guess for us early adopters this is the dice we're gonna roll.
Yeah, this break should have never happened and tires make no difference here. More traction = more stress on the parts and this was a snow/ice situation with very little grip. We can still hope it was an assembly error, but it doesn't look good when no vehicle in their history of running this...
Wait and see, if they really do share the axles with the Tundra then they should be able to handle the power just fine. Let's hope it's an installation error because I think that's the best case scenario for all of us waiting to take delivery.
