@fostuhh I hope it gets resolved well. I can't imaging going from a Golf R to a Tacoma but our pickup purchase was for a work oriented vehicle and leaves us with a manual transmission last ever Alltrack.
My best tip for any sort of service is handle it all as cheery as possible even if you...
Maybe this will answer or speak to your post. My order isn't here yet but I am waiting for the Fas-Top combo (tonneau & soft topper that work together and quick release or remove). In my case I'm not yet sure I want to commit to a tent/wedge topper but have upcoming work that needs an open bed...
Do or will you have a bundle for long bed (aka 6 ft) owners? Looking and clicking different links at your Amazon store, I see bundles for short bed only. Thank you.
In pursuing it with detail, even with nothing in the middle a passenger on right side triggers it. For now I'm keeping the middle clipped. It will be #2 on the list I hope doesn't grow when I have first oil change done.
It looks like a lack of the clips out there for Yakima towers. I already have round bar cross bars but like the idea of not having the rack there all the time.
I'm SO impressed with the Michelin CrossClimate2 we have on other vehicles that I'd like something similar for the light truck size. Their wide space to the outside made our Subaru considerably better when the ski area service roads are muddy over other 3PMSF tires.
Sadly, it doesn't appear the...
My experience over time and multiple brand/model combo is the general AT characteristics of large lugs and tear-resistant rubber are not the best in rain.
In the short time I've had my Tacoma OEM Trail-Terrain TA I've been fairly impressed with balancing on/off pavement plus some big rains...
My quite fresh or recent TRD OR with upgrade does not have that insulation. It's a surprisingly quiet vehicle to operate. The top of the engine is noisy where it sounds like the fuel rail and top injectors more than internal engine clatter.
Within areas or items still planned for spending, I'm...
It might be PKSB and called Parking Support Brake. It's not exactly intuitive considering the other motion-aware settings. I believe plugging a trailer in disables it automatically.
A PSA for those who might use a hitch type bike rack. It is the Parking Brake Support that you have to turn off to not have your brake slam on.
The Toyota electronics here get some credit for granular control but I sure wish they had an instant disable button like our German car has.
The risk taken by any of us with new models but more so the industry should be obvious at this point. Even our mature model last new vehicle purchase has had waits for what should be common parts.
We all have different reasons. Most people appreciate the safety systems. We lost a family member...
On just how bad the manual is.....
1) I looked in the manuals for our few years to 12 years old vehicles. They had same things missing in the index.
2) The Toyota CSR who made the comment said he was doing ctrl_F (search) as he does with lots of manuals all day long. That's how he agreed it...
We assumed this was a risk from our last purchase 4 years ago already, our company fleet experience, general homework and stories from associates and their auto repair challenges.
I'm hoping you'll have this resolved soon and Toyota plus the whole industry do better.
I need to do another session with the overall layouts because I don't recall easy way to have A & B on same screen or cycle them.
My rig is only on its 2nd tank of gas but it did not seem to reset milage with a refill like my wife's German car does so that's why I'd like the easy move between...
It was all basic stuff. A gen 3 4Runner with manual trans, locker and heavy duty (electric, brakes) served weeks shy of 15 years including some professional guiding. Two Siennas each served a decade. An originally grandmother's Camry then belonged to two neighborhood families as a kids car...
Our Tacoma is the 5 Toyota we've had and we hope it does the extraordinary service we've had with the others. I had some reluctance going back to a pickup but it will be the best tool for my next few years. It was not easy but we finally got a TRD OR long bed in our region not as most either...
A Toyota customer service rep agreed with me on the 2024 manual as poor for that and some other explanations, He said it will go in their weekly circle meeting with other groups.
My being annoyed by the lack of simple reset button can't have any short-term fix but I read from the trip info set...
