  1. Please explain the merits of PlastiDip for the inexperienced

This is pretty much spot on in terms of a quick "how-to". I would double down on the "prep" part. Don't underestimate the value of preparing whatever you're dipping. It takes longer to prep than to spray and if you cut any corners, you'll see it afterwards so take your time.
  2. I don’t understand the hype

I have the same package (manual seats with wireless charger). It does exist LOL How do you get that much on a full tank? For me, the display is always around 280-290 miles when I fill up. I don't calculate how many actual miles I get to a tank but that's what the display says when it's full...
  3. I don’t understand the hype

this has to be a troll. I dont believe any of this for a second.
  4. 1 week in, 850 miles so far.

genuinely curious what you do for a living that you live in your car for 80 hrs a week?
  5. 4th gen with kids?

I have two 9 year olds and its working great for now. Enough space for both of them in the back. I'm 6'1" and my son can fit behind me without any issues.
  6. 1 week in, 850 miles so far.

to each their own but do you need to track stocks while you drive? Honest question...
  7. I am giving up on waiting for my Tacoma.

I dont understand the point of this thread. You came here just to say "i'm not buying a tacoma" ?
  8. Digital Key won't start car unless Toyota app open in foreground?

yeah, the digital key is a very hit or miss experience for me. Sometimes, it wont even unlock the door unless I open the app (I assume it's because the app was killed by the OS so it's not running in the background anymore). Even if I can get into the car, it wont start unless I put the phone up...
  9. My first Toyota in 30 years and I got a lemon - 2024 Tacoma [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

whatever brand is next, avoid a new gen or we'll all be in this convo again, just on another forum.
  10. My first Toyota in 30 years and I got a lemon - 2024 Tacoma [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

here's what I find interesting about these 'legal' terminologies. It says that your vehicle "MAY" be classified as a lemon. That does not guarantee anything. That leaves the manufacturer to argue that it's not a lemon for whatever reason (or excuse) they give, and the legal system can easily...
  11. My first Toyota in 30 years and I got a lemon - 2024 Tacoma [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

Lemon law does not say it's a lemon if it's sitting for 30+ days. If parts are on backorder, that's different. The truck is pending repair, not actively in repair. Legally, those are 2 different things.
  12. My first Toyota in 30 years and I got a lemon - 2024 Tacoma [CLOSED DUE TO POLITICS]

i might be standing alone here and I'm not trying to stir the pot but people need to stop throwing the word "lemon" around. I've seen it a lot on these forums and it's a little insane, IMO. I totally understand the frustration of a transmission going bad after only 300 miles or whatever else has...
  13. TOYOTA APP HELP

sorry, I haven't had any issues. For me, the app auto signs me in every time (I hope I didnt jinx myself).
  14. Blind spot mirrors recommendations?

you can angle the side mirrors so you dont have a blind spot. I do this on every one of my cars I've ever had. Adjust the side mirrors just past the side of the truck (so you can't see the truck anymore). When a car passes you and it leaves your mirror, you'll see it over your shoulder so...
  15. Get text message alerts?

at least yours shows up. Mine is so inconsistent. Good luck! lol
  16. RetraxONE MX Retractable Tonneau Cover Installed

to be honest, i'm not concerned about the winter. I'm about 30-45 min from the city so, thankfully, we dont get that kind of accumulation over the course of the entire winter. The worst we get in maybe 12" in one snowfall and that's not common either.
  17. RetraxONE MX Retractable Tonneau Cover Installed

We had rain last night and as you can see in the pic below, I had some dripping as I opened the cover but these covers are not "waterproof", so I think it did it's job keeping the bed dry. Yeah it's just about 12x12".
  18. RetraxONE MX Retractable Tonneau Cover Installed

I haven't seen too many mentions of the RetraxONE MX so I figured I'd post my very quick review, since I just installed it this weekend (pics attached for those interested). Overall, the install was pretty easy. I had no idea what I was doing, and I got it done in about 1 hour. Despite what...
