My only thought is potential "jounce" like effects if the bags only intermittently make contact, basically the bags "slapping" the cradle. My fear is that could be caused by those crappy highways with concrete expansion joints....
At $40-50, it's worth a shot on the cradles. Figure if they end...
Oh geez. It seems like a lot of people prefer the Firestone bags over AirLift. I was leaning towards doing the Firestone bags with the airlift wireless compressor but maybe I'll go airlift all the way now.
I can relate to this as well, I scooped up the Timbrens (SES) last year before the Sumos were even available. My trailer is about 4300# and runs just shy of a 500# TW. In addition to the Timbrens, I also used a WDH. Sag is pretty much eliminated, the truck sits level, even with an extra 300-400#...
The file is available for free here in another thread I started. No need to pay me. If you have a printer, go for it, I recommended using solid infill ABS, PC, or ASA (or any other high-temp filament) could work as well. I print it in the same orientation as the image above, use supports for the...
I'm looking at the bracket Rave is sending you and I can tell you, it's not your camera, it's the bracket. Something is funky at Rave. I designed my brackets and made them publicly available before Rave released theirs, and when designing mine, realized something quickly when taking initial...
Ah, yeah - I never sold type 2 brackets to people, I only made that one prototype for myself - as I assumed most people wouldn't want that version as it required the reflash.
@emerica243 Saw your DM but figured I'd reply here - I don't really have much experience with the Rave bracket, but as others have stated, I'm fairly certain you're supposed to leave it as Type 1 as Rave isn't expecting people to flash their ECUs, and they explicitly mention leaving the tab...
Chicago to Moab & back last year. Similar results to others, maybe about 12-13MPG. So basically about 200 miles of range per fill. Trailer is around 4000#.
No problems up and down the Rockies either. Only scare was slightly elevated trans temps at one point during stop-and-go traffic on I70 up...
Antennas would still be needed. Not sure about whether associated wiring harness is already in the truck as well.
Curious as to where you found the telematics box (and associated full part number)? I was having a rough time finding it.
In my situation, most of the TRD premium trims were loaded to the brim with dealer add-ons and port-installed accessories. On top of that, my local dealers were barely providing a discount on those trims at the time of my purchase (April 2024).
However, one dealer was sitting on a Limited since...
I made a small 3D printed plug for someone else that also didn't have a front facing camera. I could dig it up and share the file here. It just press fits in to cover the hole.
As far as the brackets, I only made two sets to meet the order minimum for powder coating. My recommendation that...
Yeah, just announced at 25%, for both Mexico and Canada.
Curious to see how this pans out. Sort of have a gut feeling that pickups will be exempted. But not so sure of other vehicles. If it is across the board, wonder who's gonna want to shell out 80k+ for a Tacoma or 100k+ on a 3/4 RAM.
Find it kind of odd they include an exhaust tip.... Axle dump would make a lot more sense for a "Moab Package".
My exhaust tip is now a special edition oval one, compliments of Moab, hah.
I would imagine on hybrids it's probably more useful as the slow application of the brakes mostly recharges the battery via regenerative braking.
I really like the feature on our PHEV NX. But I can see why it could negatively affect MPG on non-hybrid models.
I think our trucks do come with a trans cooler, albeit it's a coolant-to-fluid transfer block. It's actually more for getting the trans up to temp, rather than cooling it down, but can in theory provide some cooling if trans temps exceed coolant temps.
Nonetheless, I did see there were some...
