Let it run for a minute to properly get oil flowing then kinda take it easy. I’ve noticed with my truck that until the temperature comes up a little bit it will use the engine rpm to deliver the power instead of the turbo
Does anyone else beside me find the rear stabilizer arms hanging so low and being so visible really ugly ? Just looks goofy IMO. Maybe I’m the only one who can’t seem to get over the look of them, it’s the only thing about my truck I dislike. Photo is not of my truck fyi.
I’m always amazed how a team of engineers couldn’t foresee a problem with that design on an off-road truck. Nobody thought wow that brake line is very close to the wheel….
I personally think 1k miles is a bit early, I waited until 3k miles let the engine break In let the oil filter do its job collect the particles and then change the oil. I’m using amsoil signature series and a Toyota engine oil filter. The best part is you can crawl under the truck and change oil...
that’s the crazy thing yours failed out of nowhere and there’s people like me who have all sorts of gremlins and my transmission keeps on chugging along
There’s something very strange going on if people are having issues outside the tsb. Strange too that some people report zero transmission issues inside the tsb, none of this makes any sense
Sounds like my truck for the last 3800 miles …zero codes and mine is intermittent shuddering and vibrating absolutely at low speeds and low gears feels like torque converter issues. These transmissions are able to lock and unlock the converter in low gears and high gears, according to Toyotas...
I’m starting to wonder if the reason the transmissions are acting up on some trucks early on could be the fact that as the miles get put on the vehicle the transmission filter starts catching the supposed debris that is floating around, the debris could be messing with the transmission solenoids...
Your truck is not part of the automatic transmission tsb, just because your vin is on the list doesn’t mean anything, vins are decoded in a certain way and this is the situation you’re seeing. The Manuel transmissions had their OWN tsb early on back in June/July for failures. I’d have to try and...
