  1. Video: Why the peasantry HATE the 2024 Tacoma 4th gen

And now I’m getting super creepy/inappropriate direct messages in TW. Sigh.
  2. Mickey T Baja Boss AT 285/70/17 SL tires on RRW Monoforged 17x8 +12 wheels -- 4th Gen Tacoma TRD ORP

This looks good. I may go for the +25 8.5” wheel. Any idea what difference it makes in the tire look with 8” vs 8.5”?
  3. Mickey T Baja Boss AT 285/70/17 SL tires on RRW Monoforged 17x8 +12 wheels -- 4th Gen Tacoma TRD ORP

Wow. Got a poke shot? +12 seems super aggressive. The stock TH wheels have +25 and I am on 275s and it has decent poke already. That said the Falken LTs run probably half an inch wider than most tires in that same spec. Your setup looks great— from the first picture the poke looks perfect...
  4. Mickey T Baja Boss AT 285/70/17 SL tires on RRW Monoforged 17x8 +12 wheels -- 4th Gen Tacoma TRD ORP

I want to copy this exact setup. Love it. Please tell me all the details of the wheel / tire combo just so I can confirm it ?? Currently running 93 pounds per corner with my AT4s and I’m not super happy about the results
  5. Mickey T Baja Boss AT 285/70/17 SL tires on RRW Monoforged 17x8 +12 wheels -- 4th Gen Tacoma TRD ORP

Wow. 10 pounds lighter than method 703. Do you think your wheels would fit on a trailhunter?
  6. Mickey T Baja Boss AT 285/70/17 SL tires on RRW Monoforged 17x8 +12 wheels -- 4th Gen Tacoma TRD ORP

Method 703 is 28 pounds and MT BB in SL is 48 pounds? That’s light. I wonder why the AT4s in the same size are 53. Wider maybe. My 275/70/18 AT4s run crazy wide compared to the size.
  7. Video: Why the peasantry HATE the 2024 Tacoma 4th gen

Any question I ask in there it seems like a dozen guys want to tell me how stupid I am versus helping. This forum either attracts calmer people or is far better moderated.
  8. TH build w CBI products-Prinsu rack, Sliders, Covert Bumper

Could you take a front photo so we can see the tires from the front - also these are the +35 offset wheels I presume? Looks good.
  9. ‘E’ Rated Tire Pressures

Because of the timing of my 5,000 free rotation - I cannot tell what’s up, but yes they are all the same. I’ll do a chalk test.
  10. Video: Why the peasantry HATE the 2024 Tacoma 4th gen

This is exactly right. I prefer this forum over TW because the haters in TW have become simply insufferable. I love my TH. Will buy again.
  11. What is the tire pressure for 285/70/17?

That’s what you need for equivalent load capacity but it’s not what is necessarily best for performance or even wear
  12. Tire Pressure - 285/75R17

For some reason after 3500 miles on my E load Falkens I’ve got 17/32 on the inner tread and 16/32 on the outer. I run 33-34 psi cold which i thought would be plenty. A bit puzzling.
  13. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

Width matters as much as length.
  14. Trailhunter MPG

85 octane? That is below required toyota spec - bump it up to 87-93 and you’ll see a jump - I prefer 91
  15. ‘E’ Rated Tire Pressures

Question for you guys. I’ve put 3500 miles on Falken E Load 275/70/18s running about 33 PSI cold. That’s the most comfortable PSI. I just bought a tread depth gauge and the outer tread is reading 16/32 and the center tread is reading 17/32. That indicates under inflation. Anyone have any...
  16. Trailhunter MPG

I mean, for starters our trucks are 5400 pounds curb weight. Sit taller. No air dam. It’s really not that surprising we don’t get the same gas mileage. Also the variability makes sense because we may get good mileage on a lower wind day going 60mph. We have a larger swing.
  17. Trailhunter MPG

Wind resistance is massive. I don’t get 24-that’s really good.
  18. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

That helps. I think +30 gives me almost the same poke based on actual manufacturer dimensions.
  19. 30mm offset (17x7.5 + 285/70) - how much poke?

Tire shoulder is exactly what I’m getting on stock TH wheels with 275/70/18 Falkens and it’s perfect. Will snap a picture.
