How do these tires do over bad roads? Generally comfortable? Are you able to measure diameter as mounted on your truck? Do you know the tread width? How’s wet traction?
I’m not asking how thick my pads are (I know how thick they are today, after 5200 miles). Asking how thick they are from the factory, so I can get a sense for how fast I’m wearing them down.
Just got my 5K mile service. My front pads are 10mm thick and rear are 8mm. I think the fronts start at 12.5mm but cannot confirm. No idea where the rears start. If the fronts are already 20% gone I’ll only get to 25,000 miles before needing to replace them.
Anyone know how thick the front...
So this morning, it was a little colder in Houston and the tires had less pressure in them and ran quite a bit bit better maybe I just need to play around with it a little bit more— discount tire is giving me a lot of time to figure this out. They’re being pretty damn cool about it and dealing...
If the Nokian SLs are firmer then the Nokian Es might also be ball bashers.. Jesus I didn’t thinking picking tires would be so challenging. Was thinking to get the grabbers in SL but not feeling it.
What size are the Nokians? Got pictures? How firm is the ride ?
I could go with 285/65/18...
My TH shocks are quite good. I really think these tires are weird. I don’t know what it is. I’m thinking to switch to the Nokian outposts and shave off 6 pounds. They cannot possibly ride worse. I’m just hesitant to go to an SL tire on such a capable off-road vehicle. Seems like a waste...
34 Cold.
I swear they are getting harder and harder. It pains me to return them to discount tire because they kick ass in every other way - super quiet, super awesome grip in dry and wet, look great, perfect perfect size (33.43” with 9.3” wide tread), super durable … they just smash by nuts...
My 10 plys are awesome in every way except they knock me around driving to work. Even the gas mileage is good! My complaint is they are like riding on concrete balls.
Interesting. It’s really hard to guess how other E load tires ride. I’ve got 60 pound falken AT4Ws and I’m getting tired of being smashed around. Love them off road, love the look, love the diameter - but I have to try another tire.
