The probability of me doing this is 100%, but I’m not sure the use cases most folks use them for. I could see needing to see behind me on a remote trail. How far back can these light up.
I’m at 1,800 miles. It’s not the engine off / on, I don’t think. It’s a small vibration when coming to a stop, but I’ll pay more attention to if it coincides with engine.
I get a super minor shudder when braking sometimes - on the Tundra forum people all say it’s the hybrid releasing from regenerative charging. I don’t think I have any issues. I think what is happening with some folks is a super high alert concern this may happen to them, and so any tiny thing...
Mine does nothing like that. All I feel on occasion is super tiny vibrations coming through the brake when slowing to a stop. It could been just be the electric motor for all I know.
When they want you to change a “dirty” air filter for $50 or do a throttle body service for $180, they are up your asshole. When you need them to do their actual job, which is to diagnose and resolve serious issues, they will always tell you it’s normal and to go home.
The more I read about the shudders and lurching when slowing down, the more I am worried. I drive out to a very far property and don’t want to get stuck! They should simply replace every single one in reverse order of build date.
If 2nd transmissions are failing Toyota has to fix this. And I want to wait until it’s a simple and known process. I’ve got plenty of time. Toyota knows this will cost them more in the long run in direct and reputational costs if they don’t get their shit in order
I think that’s right. Dumb question - aren’t the shavings going to be inside the tramsision fluid / in the trans and not in the coolant circulating around the trans?
