With just the straight gas engine and 8-speed auto tranny, it's a gross improvement over the previous generation. It's all I need from my daily driver and towing my 1400-pound camper. The hybrid's added torque, complexity, and cost doesn't fit my bill.

If I recall, the manual says the light comes on when your down to 2.5 gallons.

I doubt it’s the shutter issue. I think Toyota has addressed the issue. But we shall see…

The VIN is issued when it comes out of the factory. I noticed my truck on the dealer's page on a Sunday, called them on a Monday, and he said their allocations are added to their website as soon as the truck is made.

I agree. If I had a pig of a camper, the hybrids would be my choice.

Doesn't the Pro have the hybrid powertrain with 465 ft-pounds of torque?
