Yup! I haven't made it to BBNP since getting the new truck, but did do a roadtrip to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and Saguaro West. Can't wait to get back out to Far West Texas in the fall.
I really wish RSI could release some more images of the SmartCap fit on the 4th gen, beyond the initial video.
The prototype in the video looked good, but hard to drop a $2K deposit on these sight unseen.
I haven't read the entire thread, but thought this was a really interesting question.
My answer - I live in an urban area and have to navigate parking lots and park in small parking garages daily. I also have land in an area accessed by narrow gravel roads, the mid size makes it much easier to...
This is my third Tacoma. Had a 2018 SR5 then a 2022 TRD OffRoad and now the 2024 TRD OffRoad.
I have 6K miles on the 2024, including a 2,000 mile round trip from Central Texas to AZ.
Pros:
-Engine and transmission - the new engine is so much more cohesive. As often noted, the third-gen 6...
I would buy a version of the cup holder insert without the slots for those little arms. As mentioned in another thread, they puncture styrofoam cups and mar reusable bottles and tumblers, so I'm looking for something to just cover them up.
Are the A.R.E.s and Smartcaps completely waterproof?
Going back and forth between tonneau's and just investing the money and getting a cap.
I had a Bakflip tonneau on my 2022 TRD OR but it allowed a lot of water in the bed.
I've read that properly installed tonneau shouldn't leak, but not...
TRD Off-Road with stock BFG tires, have averaged 19.9mpg through first 5K. 2.5K of that was a road trip to AZ at 80+mph. I was getting 20+mpg during the break-in period (to the extent that I was able to adhere to those limits).
Switching to Wildpeak A/T4s this week, will be curious to see the...
Had a 2022 TRD OR with adaptive cruise control. It was pretty useless unless on open road like I-10 in Far West Texas. The 2024 is completely different. Can't wait to try @Rocko 's trick in stop and go traffic.
Along with the wireless CarPlay and rear cross-traffic alert it's the one tech...
I'm looking for Cs in the stock size, but Discount Tire indicates that the KO3 won't be available in a C in the 265/70/17 until August 2025.
In terms of overkill, the Es are a full 20lbs heavier per tire when compared to stock BFG Trail Terrain T/As.
