My laptop with Access Tuner pro died a year or so back, and I heard thats no longer available to the general public? Not a deal breaker, but I do like to be able to make adjustments as I go along (If I could leave well enough alone I wouldnt be in here right?).
I didnt take great photos of the doors unfortunately. But they are typical to most door panels for removal.
At this stage I only did the outer skin of the door. I find this has the largest impact on road noise and improving the sound from the door speakers (biggest bonus). 4 full sheets of the...
Anxious to hear if the truck is particular about intake and tuning as the old subarus. I hav ethe K&N 63 series that replaces the whole inlet and adds a small airhorn to step down to the compressor inlet. If you havent come across it I put together a little thread here...
I was actually going to add the hood struts, but havent yet so I cant speak to that. I dont forsee an issue as it didnt add much weight overall. I could weigh a square this weekend and tell you exactly how much we put on there.
This is what Ive been using. I have an update on the door treatment to post here soon, but I also do a layer of closed cell foam over this deadener combo.

A bed rack with Molle panels the Kuat Ibex is super nice. Thats what I have if you have any specific questions. I however, kinda wish I had gone with the OVS Topper or similar for a waterproof solution. You can add panels to the ibex but at that point your over the cost of the topper options...
This is exciting. Id been missing my turbo cars. I like what Im seeing from both Cobb and OTT. Now I want to share a dyno that will make every tuner squirm. Ive had my fair share of DSMs, subarus, bmws all that I will ofcourse build and tune. This graph is of a stock 04 forester XT with...
I was hesitant to use underhood sound deadener, as the heat seems like it could be an issue. But I have seen many utilize it with success, and the deadener I purchased is rated for underhood use.
Under the hood (again):
This time I removed my factory underhood material that is intended to...
I have done sound treatments and audio upgrades to many many cars (and homes)over the years. Unlike most I havent been disapointed in the JBL sound system that came in my truck, but I was sure it could benefit from some key sound deadening and absorption areas. This thread will just be me...
Another vote for Tuxmats. Awesome look and coverage, and super easy cleaning. I use 303 and a microfiber and they look like new again. Dont have a photo of the rear but front and rear coverage is great.
All dogs spring kit was perfect for my needs. Takes maybe a couple hours to swap the springs, and then get it in for an alignment because wow it was off. Factory tires still on, frame sliders do kind of make the truck look lower so worth taking into account visually.
Well thats funny, I did them the same time as the alldog springs as well.
I immediately noticed an increase in NVH and Im not a fan of that. But as has been said, I cant risk the failure miles from home.
Im not sure which version I received. I ended up removing it to go to a bed rack as I carry my bikes pretty much daily so the bed cover was just in the way. It seemed to fit fine, tailgate auto closed perfectly. I just put mine in the for sale section as I have determined I wont likely go back...
Veriy briefly had this cover installed on my truck, its really nice. Hard roll-up low profile.
I haul my bikes in the bed too much and have switched to the kuat ibex. Located in eastern Iowa.
$800
This is exciting, the full stage 3 setup should feel really nice. And I get my fix tinkering. Feels like Im back in a DSM or 335, just bolting on horsepower. Definitely have to follow along! Not that I spend anytime at redline but ought to pull to redline then, that 2500-3500rpm range is where I...
I dont see much of a down side to wiring the light bar to the high beams. I am located kind of in the middle of no where but if theirs oncoming traffic I turn my high beams off ofcourse. Id like to use the light bar more with the amount of deer shooting out of fields and trees by me. But...
I ordered the springs for my OR. I pull a small square drop camper at about 2klbs and the truck sags a bit. I am hoping this lift is enough that I can get around decently on fire access roads etc. And not bottom out the rear so easily. Still on OEM tires, but planning to go to a 255/80 17 and...
To chime in on a little towing experience. I pull about as small of a camper I can (NOBO 10.5). I have had larger campers in the past with a Tundra and I like to be able to drive normal without concerns of weight or abuse. I knew going into towing this, that weight of only 1700lbs was still...
I too was getting the question for a trailer and I had already removed the hitch, so turned the brake controller back to zero and that seemed to fix it.
