From what I can see, it doesn't look like the EZ Mount On-Board Air Compressor (25980EZ) has the option to allow you to hook up to it for air compressor needs outside of the air bags - is that correct?
It looks like if I want to go this route and replace my portable air compressor with onboard...
Not yet… ;)
I’m always carrying a portable air compressor with me when I’m towing/camping, so I’ll give that a go for a while and see if I want to spend another $500 on the remote compressor.
Removed the Alldogs springs, put the stock springs back in. Installed the Loadlifter 5000 air bags. Smooth, quiet driving experience has returned!
Will hook up the trailer this week and see how it tows, but very pleased so far.
I've also been looking at that. Is it the 25980EZ model number? Where was it mounted? Would love some pictures if you can.
The air bags are being delivered today so the plan is to remove the Alldogs springs and install those today, then possibly install the wireless compressor system after the...
I swapped out the stock rear springs in my Tacoma for the Alldogs Offroad springs, due to added weight (skid plates, sliders) and for better performance towing off-road (about 1.75" of sag on stock rear springs when towing). While the performance when towing is perfect, I am not enjoying the...
An update on my rear spring installation.
Did some off-roading without my trailer and the rear end definitely bounces around a bit more than I'd like. On pavement, it is noticeably stiffer but nothing obnoxious.
When towing my trailer, it rides very well - both on and off pavement.
This is a...
Took the pup paddle boarding yesterday. Note the cheesy grin on his face. He knows as soon as he hits the water, his big floppy ears can turn into decorations and be useless for listening to his dad.
I climbed approximately 2,000ft on a rocky road (not towing) in mostly 2WD with some 4HI at very low speeds…5-10mph. The trans temp definitely climbed near redline but every time I thought it’d cross into the red, it dipped down in temp.
This has been my experience whether I’m towing or...
I recently spent a couple nights traveling a 60-mile ridgeline trail that straddles the rugged Idaho/Montana border. The trail turned out to be a bit rougher than I was anticipating, based on reviews on onX OffRoad. Had to put the truck into 4LO to get up a steep two-track trail to a...
I should be climbing about 4,000 feet tomorrow, towing my 1,500lb trailer. It will undoubtedly climb in temp in 2WD - I haven’t had it go into limp mode yet but it’s been very close to
They are seated properly - when installing them, there's a clear direction for the end of the spring/pigtail to face. I have debated taking the rubber strips off the stock springs and placing them on the new springs to see if that helps, but I would think the Alldogs install video would've...
