  1. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

Thanks for the info. Your iDash and App are up to date. We'll have our firmware team know that we need to save more than one page layout.
  2. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

Of course you're right about the dual pod application. Not sure why we forgot about the dual option. Regarding the visor not deploying, we'll investigate immediately. Can you tell us what firmware version you're running on the iDash Pro and mobile app?
  3. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

We’ve tested the Stealth Pod mount in a few dozen trucks and the visor has always cleared. When you have a moment, please see if your visor can slide to the right, thereby allowing it to deploy and clear the iDash. Do you have two iDashes? How are they mounted? We only made a single pod for the...
  4. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

According to their website, the SXTH intake will only work with a Trailhunter if the ECM is tuned because the cross sectional area at the MAF sensor is calibrated for the non-TRD Pro/TH variants. Our TRD Pro/TH will be available this summer. And it'll be worth the wait!
  5. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

You bring all valid points, and to be clear, we value your feedback. We'll take it into serious consideration. Some inside baseball... Before we released our intake, SXTH owned the groups and forums. They did a great job seeding influencers and group moderators with free product. So, what you...
  6. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

Astute observations. Yes, we alter the cross-sectional area at the MAF sensor. We are just shy of the safe AFR limit. There's one intake that produces more power but it runs the engine too lean in our opinion. Regarding long lasting gains, we've tested several aftermarket intake equipped...
  7. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

We're genuinely sorry to have lost you a potential customer. However, our marketing will not change. Here's why. The automotive aftermarket has a relatively low barrier to entry. And, few people actually fact check manufacturers' claims. There are a few brands that are notorious for stating...
  8. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

We'll clarify about our "tuning" comments that are frequently seen in Facebook groups. When we entered the Tacoma market last year, we were besieged with OTT tuners who proclaimed that aftermarket intake systems were worthless. They said, and still do, that money is best spent on a tune. They...
  9. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

At the end of the day, you're the consumer and we respect your decision. Thank you for the feedback.
  10. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

@Pappy "As far as Banks, I will never trust a manufacture's numbers. I find it hard to believe an 18hp gain with an intake change. Sorry Banks, but that almost doesn't pass the laugh test." Years ago, only magazines could hold manufacturers accountable for power claims. Today with the...
  11. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

You bring up great points, which we're happy to address. Facebook groups This is the modern day battleground. In professional football, you don't say, "We'll let the other team score one or two touchdowns and then we'll come back and beat them." The goal is to keep them from scoring. When we...
  12. SXTH Vs. Banks (Intake & Boost Tubes)

@Diablo Taco Despite Cam's dyno test, the Ram-Air produces 18hp WHP and we're standing by it. We like Cam. We will not dispute his tests. However, we test 5 days a week for consumer and defense products. Accuracy is paramount to us and our clients. We've battled competitors for more than six...
  13. Banks Ram-Air Intake for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Everything you need to know.

Our published dyno data is the same iForce and iForce Max because the factory engine calibrations are the same. In other words, Toyota rates them at the same power output. The only calibrations that are different, are manual trans equipped trucks, TRD Pro and Trailhunter.
  14. Banks Ram-Air Intake for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Everything you need to know.

Let's upgrade you to Banks. We will find a way to make it happen. Please message us directly.
  15. Banks Ram-Air Intake for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Everything you need to know.

For those new to Banks... this post may seem controversial. We’ve engineered cold air and ram-air intakes systems, fluid cooling products, turbochargers, tuning, and related performance systems for nearly seven decades. Our work spans boats, cars, pickups, racing, OEM, and defense applications...
  16. Banks' Response to SXTH's Charge Pipes Ad

In a recent post in a Tacoma Facebook group, we found this comment thread. Marc R. My opinion without owning either is banks has much more experience and engineering capability. Rob M. Sometimes old companies get lazy and think they got it when they don’t. Just take a look at the passenger...
  17. Banks Power intercooler (charge air cooler) testing

Glad you're enjoying the Ram-Air Intake. When you tune an engine, it demands more air. The Ram-Air provides overhead that the tuner will take advantage of. Wait until you pair it with the boost tubes, forthcoming intercooler, turbo inlet and throttle body inlet.
  18. Banks Power intercooler (charge air cooler) testing

Both turbo inlet and throttle body inlet are in development. I cannot share details about them at this time because our competitors are also also in development. We don't want to give them any ideas.
  19. Banks Power intercooler (charge air cooler) testing

While Mishimoto appears to be our strongest competitor, we will not release our intercooler until it beats them by every metric.
  20. Banks Power intercooler (charge air cooler) testing

We'll post competitive data as soon as tests have concluded.
