Normally I would say if you like your current truck and it fits your needs, why would you want to trade it? But, if you can essentially break even (like you said you could), just get the truck you want. I personally love Wave Maker and have thought about wrapping a truck to get it on a non-pro.

Will they install on an OR-registered vehicle? It's still a CARB state.

If you exchanged your license plate with a "tag applied for" piece of paper just for the install, how would they know it's a CA-registered vehicle? "I have a [cabin, vacation home] in [non-CARB state]; I've changed the registration to that address and am awaiting my new vanity plates" etc etc.

Which is a fair take. That is one of the things Banks called out on the SXTH design, and that's what failed in the original trail report. It's a cheap fix if you already own the SXTH. However, given this is an exact failure mode Banks pointed out, it makes me wonder if the larger design...

You can get some cheap, effective sand/snow stakes on Amazon; I've backpacked in some pretty strong wind using those. There are also bags that work pretty well (you fill the bag with sand/snow/rocks). You could just put heavy things in your tent (like your tools/water), but that doesn't help...

Yes, but I was specifically replying to Costco's Interstate batteries. Their price is good but warranty is crap (three years, prorated). I go with Walmart batteries because of their warranty and there's always a Walmart close by in the US.

Don't forget the reduced aerodynamics. I had a Jeep, and whenever I put my paddle board on top of it, I lost 1-2mpg. Worst was when I put a paddle board on top of my roof top tent; I was 4-5mpg less than nothing on the roof (the board and tent were about 100lbs total, so it wasn't the weight).

I'm sure their customer claims work on many, if not the majority of, people, but they actively turn me away from dealers that do this. Just like getting a recall performed does not give the dealership permission to send me 2-3 letters a month.

I read it as you wanted to change your leafs out for coils (full suspension change) until I took a second look at the picture and saw there is only 1 set of springs :facepalm:. That makes a lot more sense.

At least by me, their warranty is prorated. Even if it isn't, at 36mo it's pretty short compared to other batteries I've looked at.
