Has anyone used 75w90 instead of toyota recommended 75w85 .
I have 07 tundra as well . i have always used 75w90 had no issues .
Just wondering if these new truck would be fine .dont want to void my warranty
Also does gear oil need to have special additive for limited slip diff or just normal...
I think It could be new tires more grip and are not able to slip when turning . I have tundra 07 and 24 tacoma . Even in snow tundra turns around easy but tacoma take effort . Tundra tires are almost 50 percent used less grip as compared to 24 tacoma
I usually get this same kind of smell through vents and if i go outside i can smell it through front grill . But it only happens on long drives or hot days
For anyone having problem with toyota app not working good and is frustrated about toyota app asking to allow permission on iphone every time it connects.
Download lexus app and logbjn the the account .
Lexus app lot better to use than toyota app
I just saw some post on fb group and thought...
4th gen tacoma have CAD front centre axle disconnect in 2wd . Thats the reason we hear noice when engaging 4h . In normal 2wd front driveshaft and front diff is stationary .
I felt same thing when i got the truck new . But i think its totally normal . As i have read somewhere that toyota intentionally kept 6MT truck as raw as possible and made sure that driver hears every sound of machine so its more engaging experience .
I dont hear that clunk noice as often...
Agree . stock clutch can last long time .Most of the modern 8 speed 10 speed transmission (ford ,gm ,toyota ,ram ) have overheating problem when towing and off roading . I would rather have manual over these new auto transmission and replace clutch if i need to .
No regrets . But only wish if it didnt have electric steering . If battery is dead . Steering is locked . Very hard to do clutch start if battery is dead unless you can roll the truck in straight line .
All over the internet it says that 4th tacoma does nit have clutch accumulator. I fell like it does after driving it for one year . Can anyone confirm if accumulator is still there ??
Same problem here . For me either i shift to second right after truck start rolling it shifts fine or if i take first to 3000 rpm or more then shift to second it will shift easy but in middle no luck for smooth shift
Yes thats the washer and u need to take it off I had a same experience for first 2 oil changes but then at 3rd oil change i hit the washer really hard and it came off . Try again and hit hard it will come off .
I pre booked my 6mt trd off road . In 2023 September when they just announced 4th gen . My dealer told me i would have to wait till end of summer 2024 to get one with manual transmission. I was ok to wait but got lucky .dealership got the truck i wanted in first allocation . Their is higher...
Does anybody else have this experience when engaging 4H there is loud clunk . It doesn’t happen every time . Most of the times it changes 4h very smooth . Just wanted to know if this is normal . Also some time’s after shifting to 4 h . Drive is very rough . Vibration feel in gas pedal . I...
Read it somewhere that in canada after 2012 bcz off government regulation cars will have some kind lights always stay on . My civic will keep daytime running lights on if i turn off headlights . This tacoma will keep parking lights still on if i turn headlights off .
Just curious is there any way possible to turn off headlights and daytime running lights completely off when truck is on . . I tried few times but did n t work . When idling if i turn off headlights it will keep daytime lights on .
