  2. Fun AI Images of Your Tacoma - Try This and Post Yours!

    Apparently I drive a gen 3 TH!
  3. Recall Notice (25TB08) - 12.3 inch display instrument panel may go blank at startup

that's the thing tho, the recalls are separate appointments at the dealership apparently. Can't take it in for scheduled Toyota Care service and have the safety recalls done at the same time. At least that's what they told me when I called on it today
  4. Toyota iPhone app keeps logging me out

same. And I've NEVER been able to download a digital key. Sub is worthless. Going to cancel.
  5. +23k miles and MPG @ 60, 70, 77 and 80 mph

I’ve mastered the city drive in my TH / with the hybrids there’s a method to nudge more out of the electric motor, setup your dash with the MAX power band, ECO mode all the way and the sweet spot (minimum) is about a 10mi each direction commute to get the engine & cat warm, light coasting, etc...
  6. Gas cap doesn't click

Yea mine is subtle, I wonder if it’s by design. First Toyota, definitely a contrast to our other vehicles
  7. HELP! Hybrid won't start after disconnecting 12v

Probably a low battery. I had this happen when wiring accessories & running GFc lights for an extended period. Dash went full Xmas tree, battery was low / disconnected/ trickle charged overnight / errors slowly cleared throughout day after a few restarts & driving around town
  8. +23k miles and MPG @ 60, 70, 77 and 80 mph

your 60mph range numbers are excellent, love seeing people maximize these 4 bangers for long trips. Any fuelly logs? I'm guessing your combined is well above sticker Yep, Eco mode for the win, does more than throttle mapping. Also governs the HVAC climate controls & electrical systems thus...
  9. Goose Gear 60% Seat Delete - the good, the bad, the ugly.

I'm taking my TH in for 10K Toyota Care Service & probably Trailer BSM, will likely remove my 60 delete so everything is accessible for the techs. I have maybe the 2nd or 3rd build from GG for the hybrid rear deletes, no real issues removing the hybrid filters, I think the design is good, no...
  10. +23k miles and MPG @ 60, 70, 77 and 80 mph

Drive mode for all these numbers? Aero dominates above 60mph, why remove the air dam? / promotes cooler front calipers, longer pad life & air ramming underneath the vehicle for that pure hwy stuff
  11. Mudflaps for Trailhunter?

I’m assuming the bracket works with the ARB recovery points… You’ll want to call them to confirm. https://sxthelement.com/products/2024-tacoma-bed-step-relocation-bracket?_pos=4&_sid=a217917d7&_ss=r
  12. How to fully charge the hybrid battery for 🚀🚀BLAST OFF 🚀🚀

Method 3: live or travel through a mountain region, drive ECO mode. Do nothing but descend a steep mtn road ~2-6mi and collect all that energy via adaptive cruise or downshifting and you’ll easily top out the NiMH cells. No need to burn excess fuel to run additive propulsion to the hybrid...
  13. Anyone put a different air intake on a Trailhunter?

I’d be interested in a pre-filter cartridge on the OE Trailhunter intake, a mod of some kind or pressfit into where the grate is / curious about maintenance in cleaning out that manifold…. I love the sound, don’t drive with the windows down too much. The design of the intake is on point, if they...
  14. Mudflaps for Trailhunter?

Are those the “mud guards” or mud flaps entirely different part no.? My TH came port installed with the mud guards, love them, barely notice they’re on there. I also have been rocking the bed step / ordered the SXTH element rear recovery hooks with the bed step relocate bracket (so both rear...
  15. Wide VS Narrow Tires (Pizza Cutters to Wide)

News flash: moto tires also are susceptible to the same forces of water. There’s is no “squishing” away water the thinner you go. There's many videos of guys hydroplaning across 5 deep ponds on their bikes. It's a math equation; you hit that thin film of water fast enough with enough pressure...
  16. Wide VS Narrow Tires (Pizza Cutters to Wide)

TLDNR the rest of that, but you must not ride a bike! bro's front pizza cutter HYDROPLANED and he ate pavement. THE END
  17. Wide VS Narrow Tires (Pizza Cutters to Wide)

lol yea okay. You watch this to the end and tell me a cyclist can’t hydroplane. If pizza cutters are your thing you do you but they can’t evacuate any better at the most critical situations. Water treads are generally wider sipe patterns. The original aqua tread was wide as f.
  18. 2024 TRD Pro Isodynamic Seats (Trade)

Did you get a quote on trade-in value from the dealer if your Pro didn’t have the Isodynamic seats vs OE? I sold my ARB sport bar on my TH but will just buy one back for cheap when I go to trade in. Those air ride seats tho…
  19. Wide VS Narrow Tires (Pizza Cutters to Wide)

Some whack advice being tossed around here. Pizza cutters in a monsoon is a huge mistake: 1. Smaller Contact Patch = Higher Contact Pressure Narrow tires put the truck’s weight over a smaller footprint. While this helps “cut down” into snow or soft terrain, in heavy rain the smaller footprint...
