My truck slows itself constantly especially in SoCal traffic. I have the gauge set to show when my brakes are on and it’s pretty frequently. I leave PDA on because it makes the Tacoma feel like my Tesla. Look at your gauge to see how often your truck is braking for you.

Just replaced my rear pads at 31,000 miles. Down to 15%. Fronts look almost new. My guess would be the proactive drive assist function uses rear brakes instead of front so you don’t feel nose dive when it activates to slow the vehicle.

Yes. Sorry. I should have been more specific. I wonder if ANC or ESE might be able to get rid of the droning at certain rpms.
