Yes, and if you do a "rolling stop", which has become the standard here in California, skip 1st and just put it into 2nd and gently release the clutch. As long as you are still rolling at about 10 mph, it's smooth and easy, just don't give it too much gas until you gain some RPMs.

I've never owned an automatic transmission vehicle of any type, motorcycle or four wheeled vehicle.
This one had a little bit different timing and engagement point, but once I learned that, it's been smooth shifting ever since. I'm liking it as much or better than my 18 year old 2006 Tacoma...
I've owned motorcycles of various makes and sizes for 45 years. I do all maintenance on all my bikes and my wife's Vespa as well. I flush and bleed all brakes annually.
I've never used anything other than the master cylinder to flush and bleed any brakes, but you obviously have a major failure...
Looks like good work to me (very experienced EE) with a small exception which I am pretty sure that you have covered already.
You probably don't allow any loose loads in the bed of your truck.

Just get a rattlecan of black truckbed coating. Use it as soon as you see wear or any rust shows. I'm not sure how well it lasts if you let the rust build up too far.
