Jack stands

Do you guys use 3 ton or 6 ton jack stands?

I only ask as I have a pair of newish 3 tons already and and hoping I can just get another pair of 3 ton for a full set.

Or if I need to suck it up and get 6 tons.

If each of your jack stands are rated to 3000 lbs, you should be fine.

You have an SR5 (not a hybrid long bed). Unless it's loaded down with things like a camper, you're nowhere near 6000 lb (3 ton). A full set of 3-ton jack stands should be fine. Even a stock Trailhunter long bed (~5400 lb) should be OK on 3-ton stands assuming it isn't loaded down with gear.

Just remember, most jack stands are rated per pair. This still means 3-ton stands work for you, but that isn't 3 ton per stand unless explicitly stated as such (which is rare).

Depends on how high you need the stands t go also with larger tires it adds some extra height to your frame
