  1. Potential Issue with ALL ‘24 Trailhunters

Easy fix. If you don’t mind shelling out a few hundred dollars, just get a new intake. The Stillen one doesn’t require any tuning changes, and the airbox/ filter swap is pretty easy. If there is a future warranty issue, I would just put the old intake back in. As for the dirty filter? They were...

  3. Potential Issue with ALL ‘24 Trailhunters

Same thing happened to me. I was higher altitude driving hard uphill in rain. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree and pulled over to limp it to a dealership. The issue was air filter oil getting all over the MAF sensor and causing issues. Dealership replaced the MAF and I've since purchased a...
  4. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

I put the Stillen intake in. I tried to buy a TRD pro one but the dealership couldn't get one for me. I'm very happy with the Stillen one so far.
  5. Fuse for OEM air compressor on TH?

Same issue. Did you ever find out?
  6. All the check engine lights are on

So talking with a tech at another shop they think the air filter was over oiled from the factory and had sprayed oil all over the MAF sensor. Apparently you're supposed to service the air filter every 7000km (not sure what that is in freedom units). I haven't seen that anywhere in any service...
  7. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

Nope. Just the mod to the Rai with the plumbing test ball.
  8. All the check engine lights are on

Was a mass airflow sensor. Gonna order an extra one for the next 10,000km mark... ?

  10. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

I'm trying to get the dealership to do that work. It shouldn't if they do it.
  11. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

Update: I've messed up my MAF sensor with oil from the air filter after making this change. Dealership replaced the sensor. I'll be looking for a TRD pro intake to swap out now. I can't recommend the modifications I've made to block the snorkel.
  12. All the check engine lights are on

Was driving over a mountain pass and I had all the engine lights come on. The turbo was still working at the time this video was recorded. That's not working anymore. Limped it to the dealership. Now I wait.
  13. Turning off the door lights?

It does not. I have it. I had to unplug.
  14. Turning off the door lights?

You can pull the cover off and unplug them. I know that doesn't help for when you want them on, but it works for when you want them off.
  15. PSA: 4G Tacoma TRD Pro / Trail Hunter Airbox Intake System Retrofit is NOT plug-and-play on standard models

I'm wondering if swapping out the air box on the TH for the Pro version would be plug and play then?
  16. ICE CAP 2024 Tacoma Thread (4th Gen)

24' TH with racks and bars removed and some fun stripes added on!
  17. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

I just used a 3" plumbing test ball and a zip tie. You can get the test ball from any plumbing specific store.
  18. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

Quieter... Maybe 40-60% better. I'm surprised its still making any noise to be honest. I think the only way to completely eliminate the noise is to close the outlet box from under the hood, but that solution is a bit too permanent for me.
  19. Quieting the RAI (Snorkel) Sound

Lol, no not in SD... Yeah, I'm hoping to be able to use it when she's not in the rig... That turbo noise is too fun! Gonna try a plumbing balloon test plug. It's got a loop that I can mechanically fasten to a zip tie to the louvers of the snorkel.
