Thanks for review. It validates my decision to continue to obstinately wait for my Off Road w/ the Off Road Premium Package and a 6MT unicorn to show up. One day, they're going to make my truck and the allocation will be unclaimed. One day...
It’s worth waiting for the 6 speed!

Dude ! Please give me a link or a phone number. Love your Taco By the way.
Hi Texas Blue Crush,
The skid plate part number is PTR60-35240 I believe. (Will double check at home when I see the invoice). Here is a link: https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/front-skid-plate-ptr6035240

You can get at your dealer I’d think. Also a couple pics of it on my truck (please excuse the dirt, it’s winter in Canada). Sure beats the wimpy composite plate.

@TexasBlueCrush here are a couple pics of the wider mud flaps. The truck arrived with them installed (before the pre-trip). So I do not have part number, but do a search on the forum for Canadian mud flaps - I remember seeing a comparison some where.

Well the day has come! 1 year of owning my 2024 Sport 4x4!

I am happy to report zero mechanical/ electrical issues with the truck. The only warranty thing i had fixed was a lower window moulding replaced as it would not stay in place. ( yes I'm aware of the lifting upper bedside trim and will 3m tape that myself when the weather permits).

After 1 year, I still believe this is a better overall truck than my old 3rd gen. I still think this powertrain is perfect for this truck. ( I'd love a V8 option but I know that ain't going to happen).

I have a few dislikes with this truck for instance:
-Seat belt alarm
-Too many driver/nanny aids
-Super plastic/cheap feeling on my trim level.
- small back seat when I take whole family out. ( not often)
- front radar gets blocked by 5 snowflakes
The good,
- tows my trailers fine
- tough looks
- Great powertrain
- interior comfortable
- it's a Toyota

In short, 99 percent of the time this is a perfect sized truck for me and has enough power. Still in love.......
Very Nice!, I see you've updated your wheels and tires. What are you running now?

I like that TRD skid plate...will have to wait for my Toyota on-line dealership to have one of their great 20% off MSRP sales to grab one!

I don't mind the 18 gallon gas tank since I'm old and need to stop at least every 3-hours on long drive, anyway.

The larger turn radius was a surprise...I don't remember my 2005 Taco have such a large radius.

I'm, still, on my 3-month free subscriptions and like Toyota messaging me to remind me that my doors aren't locked and lets me lock it on the app.

The remote start with the phone doesn't seem very good. It's out in the front driveway and I've tried numerous times to start it but it keeps failing.....what good is that if you have to be right next to it???

The drive comfort comparing my old 2014 Tundra to the 2026 Taco Limited with the electronic front shocks has to be the biggest surprise for us. It drives very smooth on "comfort" mode and I haven't had any annoying noises (yet) others have complained about. I'm keeping an eye on the door openers as I've seen at least 3 Taco owners saying theirs broke since it's mostly plastic inside the door.

Will be hooking up our 24-foot Rockwood camper trailer when I get time and test out how she feels towing 5,200 pounds around.
