Good looking truck! I do love the fact Toyota made it much easier to run larger tires on this gen, but as of right now, I plan on sticking to 35’s. I don’t plan on hitting any trails that would need a larger tiresYour truck looks great, I have its sister on 35 Toyo at3’s but just king mid travel. Are you gonna do 37s soon? Looks like you have tons of room I’m considering them myself.
Thanks man I really like it but I want to go long travel eventually. Makes sense, I usually do really rocky trials where I could benefit from 37’s. What kind of travel numbers are you getting from the rear 3 link? I noticed wicked doesn’t have anything for the 4g rear on the website yet.
Yeah, my rear was the first, so a lot of R&D to get it right. I'm sure they'll throw something on their site soon, along with sliders (they had to make custom to work with the 3 link) and skid plates. If you are interested and nothing is posted, reach out to Mike Boone and let him know you have questions about Jason's 4th gen 3 link! Also, stock exhaust won't work with the rear 3 link lol.
Great build and finally a bumper that looks good on the 4th gen!I'm really loving how this build is coming together so far. I'll be removing the roof rack, bed rack/RTT, and going with a GFC, install date 8/21.
Thank you! I had to modify it to work, so even though it’s a C4, it’s definitely a one of a kind. The length and support bars were cut and redone.
Appreciate it! Just based on what I'm going to use the truck for, keeping the lift minimal to clear 35's, and the type of trails I mostly hit in here CA, the 3 link was a better option for me. The shop and I played around with the idea of doing a 5 link or cantilever, and based on our conversion, went the 3 link route.
