Would love that if we get a second Tacoma.
Yes, that would be awesome. The bed size kept me out of a manual transmission but I have to say I’ve been totally happy with the automatic. I haven’t towed with it due to no trailer brake, but it seems it would do well.
I plan on getting a new truck in 2027, trading in my then 3 year old Tacoma. In the running is: another Tacoma (will be a trim with the trailer brake) or the new for ‘27 GM Sierra/Silverado twins. Outside chance of a Tundra.

Yes, Toyotas “allocation” process is not really “ordering”. Ask for 10 options and they send you 7 with 1 that you don’t want and 2 that you’re willing to live with.

The one or tronoptions they choose not to include is usually something you can’t get done aftermarket or if it is available at the dealer it’s 4 times the cost. With me they decided I really did not need the SDM.
I lucked out and got a 26 TH in white right off the truck to Mountain States in Denver with zero options, and a good trade-in for my 24 Jeep Gladiator Rubi. I called every dealer in NM, CO, and west TX and lucked out with Mtn States. Pick it up Friday. Back to Tacomas. The 3rd gen pissed me off with the poor engine/trans weakness so I went for a Jeep. Had five Tacomas between 1999 and 2023. I'm glad Toyota finally got their act together after the 3rd Gen mess. I'm a retired geologist and worked them hard with hardly ever a problem. I'll post images in a couple of weeks.

Ordered: BAK Revolver X2 tonneau; bed mat, inner bed moelle panels, black tailgate inserts; hood struts. Plan on 275/70/18s and possibly winch and bumper in near future. The Trailhunters don't need too many mods to make them off-road worthy.

I'll have a comparison between the TH and the Jeep Glad Rubicon in a month or so.
