Hey Taco Family,

I just got my S&B Filters cold air intake for my Tacoma. I’ve been waiting for them to release this since last year, and it’s finally here.

First impression: it’s built really well and looks awesome. The filter is huge, and the install was easy and straightforward. The turbo sound is great too.

It’s a mix between the Sixth Element and Banks cold air intakes. I wanted the look of the Sixth Element with the larger filter size of the Banks intake, and S&B delivered exactly that with this intake.

Nice - so this is hybrid compatible? Im wondering if its fitted for the TRD Pro and TrailMaster. I didn't see anything on their site about hybrid compatibility..

Just checked out the site and it includes a separate pipe for the Trailhunter and TRD Pro

Hey Zee,

Yes mine is a Hybrid. I have a TRD-Offroad , I don’t think there’s a big different between mine and a Trailhunter or Pro. I might be wrong don’t take my word on that. I would reach out to them.

Hey TN,

When driving the truck normally under regular conditions, you can hear it a little when taking off, but it’s not crazy or obnoxious. When you floor the gas, that’s when you can really hear the turbo spool.

If you drive it in manual select mode and shift it like a stick, you can hear it through all the gear selections.

Well I can't order the S&B kit yet for my truck - apparently its not allowed yet under California law.

I'm not posting this to start any political discussion - just awareness but genuine frustration.

Im sure S&B will get clearance from the CARB people. (California Air Resource Board).

Might just have to order it to my parents and go visit them
