Did you ever end up doing anything about your noise? I am hearing the same with my 2025 TRD Off Road. Currently at 1000 miles. Same issue with the noise only present when on the accelerator.Having this same problem on my 2025 TRD Sport. Sounds like the exact problem the 3rd gens had. Slight noise coming from the back only when under light throttle at 50-59 MPH. If you let off the throttle or reach a speed outside of 50-59 MPH it goes way. Debating what to do next as the truck only has 400 miles on it.
Has anyone else run into this yet?
I have not done anything about it yet. Is yours happening in the same speed range?Did you ever end up doing anything about your noise? I am hearing the same with my 2025 TRD Off Road. Currently at 1000 miles. Same issue with the noise only present when on the accelerator.
Yes, same speed range. Only hearing the humming when foot is on the accelerator.I have not done anything about it yet. Is yours happening in the same speed range?
Yeah I do plan to take it in soon. Kind of dreading dealing with it, but it is annoying to drive in that speed range.Yes, same speed range. Only hearing the humming when foot is on the accelerator.
Yah, don't think that's normal, just got back from a 2200mi trip to New Mexico with no howling. Speeds were between 55 and 85 mph, with snow, rain, and dry roads. I wouldn't be happy either. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. I have 8800mi total on the truck.Looks like Toyota did not fix the infamous diff howl that plagued a lot of 3rd gens. Except now instead of doing it around 55mph it seems to be at 70-75mph when lightly on the throttle. As soon as I lift off the gas it stops. I found one other owner with a 24 TRD Sport who had the exact same symptoms at the exact same speed, their dealer replaced the rear end and the noise went away. My dealer is telling me that's how Toyota designed it lol. Ive been to the dealer twice in the last 10 days for this issue. Truck currently has 700 miles. Highway driving is unbearable.
After you for out this kind of money - it is either corrected or swapped ...700 miles isn't even close to being worn in. Revisit it around 2500 miles.
lol that’s such bullshit. My original dealer told me the same BS yet refused to take me along for a ride in the other Tacoma they supposedly compared it to. I ended up having to go to a different dealer who took me serious and fixed the issue.Dropped the truck off this morning and they just called me stating that they believe this is a normal noise for this truck. They claimed the master tech drove another 2025 on the lot and it made the same noise under the same conditions. Not sure if that jives much with me, will probably reach out to Toyota corporate since the last gen had a TSB for this noise.
Sounds like I will have to follow your path unfortunately....lol that’s such bullshit.
