TLDR: 5-Star (copy of my Amazon Review)
I really wanted to love these...
And I do!
I put my new seat covers on, on Saturday. Started out a little rough. Pushed my hand under the passenger seat and immediately was bleeding (I wasn't wearing the gloves that came with the seat covers) but after that, things got better.
Had a little trouble getting the "backpack" straps under the front seats in a way that wouldn't interfere with wiring or the seat mechanisms, so I bent up a coat hanger, with a closed loop on one side. I then pushed the coat hanger under the seat, above the wiring, where I wanted the straps to go, and then fed the strap through the loop and pulled back through. Worked great. The passenger side seat seemed to be a lot more crowded under there than the driver's seat for some reason. I do worry about the robustness of the straps, they are a little thin, but the buckles do hold the straps securely when you tighten them. You can just leave the extra underneath or cut it off (but don't cut too short), I left mine for now.
Are they perfect? No. There are a couple of spots I would have liked a little more coverage; you can kind of "peek' the original seat underneath. May be an installation issue but you can pull and tug the covers enough to mostly cover the original seats underneath. The center console armrest is the weakest part and really not necessary. The elastic straps that run underneath and hold it in place, pinch it too tightly so that the edge of the material is pulled under the lid, keeping the lid from latching. I am just not going to use mine, the original matches the seats anyway.
The airbag slots on the front seats do sit a little janky, but you can smooth them out somewhat and will most likely lay flat given some time. I also wonder if anyone actually tested them to see if the side airbags deploy correctly through these slots, I kind of doubt it. Even so, the airbag slots are covered by the pillar and you don' even normally see these slots.
I would like to see something done with the headrest zippers pulls; they are just kind of left dangling there. I considered removing mine and may do so in the future, but honestly these are the only tip offs that the covers are not the original equipment.
The seats do look and feel great. You can't compare these to $1,500 true leather seat covers (although I imagine the high dollar ones have many of the same issues) but for the money these things are FANTASTIC, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I thought about taking a star off the rating for the above issues but decided that I was so happy with them overall, given the quality, fit and price point that they were easily worth a five-star review. I will update with pics when I get a chance.
