2024 Tacoma 6MT Sport.
For a backstory I have a CAI and a AWE exhaust. At some point the rear of my AWE exhaust feel off that has the resonator on it and I decided whatever, I'll leave it off I like the more aggressive deep truck sound it produces. I give this backstory because my exhaust always loved to backfire going from 1-2 or 2-3 quite occasionally.
The last couple days I noticed when I hound on the truck, after 4k RPM it starts backfiring like I clicked on the 2-step. I didn't think much of it, figured whatever probably a lot of unburnt fuel or something BUT I noticed the truck actually sputters/jitters as well when it happens.
I'll attach a video I took today, it's much more prominent in 2nd gear. I thought okay, maybe a bad plug, but that seems oddly strange at only 70,000kms, and it still has loads of power and torque.
Anyone have any ideas before I end up paying $200/h in shop time?
I may attempt to change all the plugs regardless just to see but I'm getting absolutely no warnings or lights on the dash.
PS, ignore the maintenance required, maintenance is complete just not reset lol.
