If someone breaks into the cab and pushes the tailgate button they can remove this plate right? I don’t see a lock on this plate.

2 separate things. For powered tailgates, do what I did and disconnect that’s damn switch. Do you really need that stupid button. So problem solved someone illustrate why I need the aftermarket bracket w/a GFC and a tailgate that won’t unlock unless a fob is present

And, the lock on this plate is a security torx head.
