Hey Tacoma4G members — TRUMGETA team here.

On a 4th-gen Tacoma, adding a step usually comes with a trade-off: easier cab access, but often with a full-length running board hanging below the rocker.

We designed the Auxchemic® Side Steps for owners who want a useful foothold without covering the entire side of the truck. Instead of one long board, the system uses compact, independent steel step modules positioned where your foot actually lands.

Here’s a quick look at the installed setup:

Key details

  • Fits 2024–2026 Toyota Tacoma 4-Door Double Cab/Crew Cab
  • Listed 350-lb load rating
  • Steel construction
  • Textured tread surface for a more secure foothold
  • Auxchemic® textured protective coating, developed to help resist everyday scratches, moisture, road salt and corrosion exposure
  • Bolt-on installation using the factory mounting areas
  • No drilling or permanent body modification required
  • Hardware included
  • Estimated DIY installation time: approximately 20–30 minutes
  • Available in 2-piece and 4-piece configurations; the setup shown here is the 4-piece version

Why the compact layout?

A full-length running board makes sense for some owners, especially when passengers need a continuous stepping surface. These steps are aimed at owners who prefer a smaller footprint and want to preserve more open space beneath the cab.

One important distinction: these are vehicle-access steps. They are not frame-mounted rock sliders or vehicle jack points, and they should not be used to support the weight of the truck.

We’d genuinely like feedback from Tacoma owners: for a compact step like this, what matters most to you—ground clearance, wet/muddy boot grip, winter-salt durability, or step position?

If you have a fitment question, reply with your Tacoma’s year, trim and cab configuration, and we’ll check it.
