Covercraft Seat Covers - SuperDux Carhartt Seat Covers

Hey all
After doing a bunch of research and seeing how the OEM seats stain. I didn;t want (faux) leeather, nor a cloth cover that didn't fit right thus. I finally bit the bullet on a pair of seat covers. I ordered the SuperDux Carhartt Seat Covers on Mar 25th, they shipped Apr 1st and arrived on Apr 8th. This is 2 weeks from order to delivery.
They arrived shipped in front and rear separately.

I started with the center console cover. It is definitely on the tight side but after stretching it and finagling it. I got it to seat well despite the straps being placed pretty close to each other as opposed to being more evenly spaced across the entire cover.

On to the driver's seat, the bottom seat sits well and you only see the OEM seats in the corner, so having more material would've been great. It is secured with 2 velcro straps that come across the horizontal part of the cover and 2 adjustable connectors that go through the seat bottom and back split.

Next the head rest cover, it went on without too much issue after taking the head rest off by reclining the seat. Having the cover lined up perfectly with the edges helps greatly as well.

The seat back comes down over the top and is a wiggle game to get it down the whole seat. The last 10% is of course the hardest and it isn't easy to find spots to pull from without tearing any seams. Once you have the seat cover all the way down, you can push a velcro strap through the hole between the back and bottom to wrap it around the bottom of the seat back and two additional connectors which connect to the same points as the seat bottom.

There is additional cushion on these seat covers and they so far have sat slightly above the original seat giving it some play to comfort my back. Personally I enjoy this and find the comfort much closer to that of the Ford Ranger finally. The seat also has its own seat storage in the same position as the OEM, but goes over the top of it.

The passenger seat is more of the same process as the driver only there is less room underneath the seat to run the straps due to more wiring harnesses being found down there as well as having to switch my non dominant hand.

On to the rear, I started with the tops. They go on similar to the front after detaching them from the rear of the truck and folding them down. They only have a velcro strap which does the job pretty tight after you line it up with the tie down holes on the back and side.

Bottoms go on in similar fashion with a superb fitment once it all lines up.

After all the effort, I am quite happy with seat covers. They have great stain and water resistance, while not being too rough or faux. The fitment works well while being thought out although there are a few parts the still stick out. My biggest issue is they ended up being $842. Most of that is the Carhartt tax and realistically without it these should be half the price even with being made in Mexico (They shipped from pretty much right across the border). I paid too much for a truck and that isn't stopping now; I want to use high stuff and not cheap stuff off amazon and thats what I got.

Just opened up the package of Covercraft Carhartt Super Dux PrecisionFit covers (in Cargartt’s grey color). It’s 7pm. I’ll install and take pics to update as I go. The Super Dux was my only option as I live in AZ and need construction site dust protection and some level of hydrophobic properties without losing breathability in the hot summers. Not sure if OP got the “precision fit” version or even what the actual difference is but let’s see. Updates incoming.

Ok so total time (inc. tool setup and cleanup) was 2hrs for the front seats on the Carhartt edition Covercraft Super Dux Precision Fit. I went with grey to match the 2025 Tacoma Off Road 4x4 “black / boulder” interior (door cards and dash are black, standard driver and passenger seats are mostly grey with black trim). The Carhartt grey matches the Tacoma interior relatively well in my garage fluorescent lighting. The fit is tight but the seat backs and headrest can be muscled on pretty easily then the fussing to get it perfect can take as long as you want. The seat backs are held to the bottom with two straps that go under the seat bottom. The seat bottom has two straps going back-to-front and a large single hook-and-loop strap going side to side. That’s 5 total straps and they snake through the seat bottom mechanics OK. My tip for that portion is to use the OEM seat elastic bands as a guide for where the back straps should come through and then avoid putting tension on anything that moves, is plastic, or is a wire (especially the ominous yellow one). Nobody is posting it officially but the job is significantly easier by removing the 4 bolts that hold the seat rails to the floor and tipping the seat backwards.
Picture shows a few wrinkles that might dissuade buyers but honestly, it feels like most of these will flatten out with time or a heat gun and some fussing. I’m quite particular about clean installs and it’s not bothering me .
First day review:
Material: 10/10 Super Dux is breathable, lightly padded, extremely durable and easy to clean. The stitching is good. Great for dusty hot deserts, small spills, and anything I do as a general contractor.
Fit & Finish: The seat covers are snug and un-moving. The color grey coordinates with the original grey cloth TRD OffRoad seats well. These are not going to convince anyone you reupholstered your seats but they do look tough and ride nicely. Probably for years to come.
Install: Medium difficulty. I’d say the Tacoma seats are not friendly to any install, presenting two difficulty points that I didn’t consider: the seatback is attached to the seat bottom in the rear which makes fishing straps through quite annoying and the electronics of the power seats block easy strap routes under the seat. These covers themselves are not too tight or too lose.
Value: Uh…. $750ish for the front seats only was a lot. Upholstery shops could probably do a custom job for not much more. But, these do feel like I’ll never have to worry about dog fur, spilled drinks, concrete or chop saw dust, or dirt or mud from off-roading. I actually don’t care for the brand Carhartt so the logos add nothing for me but my friends seem to think it’s cool. Overall I’d say this is the choice for someone who wants high level of quality protection that will last and stay cool in the summer.
