My 2012 Civic Si did the exact same thing. It's just the A/C compressor kicking on, which puts load on the engine and the ECU has to compensate by adding more fuel to keep the idle speed the same and not stall out. My gear shifter wobbles when it does this too, but that is probably just rough running in a low RPM range the engine wasn't designed to be run at for a brief period of time.

I know this has been discussed in other posts so far and others have felt the same as I have felt. At this point I wanted to reach out to see if anyone has had their truck to a dealer to have the issue looked at and if so what was the "fix" or "reply" from the dealer as to what it is. Also curious to know how many people have and have not felt the shake. It feels like an engine misfiring on a cylinder when at stops with the HVAC on, whole truck shakes -it's very apparent.
My 2025 TRD Offroad is constantly doing this now. Drove it for about 5000km with no issues and then one day, the entire truck started violently shaking at idle. I thought the engine was misfiring or something at first. After reading these and other forums, tried turning climate control off and it stopped the violent shaking. But now regardless of climate on or off there is always a shutter/slight vibration at idle.

Bringing it in to Toyota dealership later this month.

I feel like Toyota knows about this issue but is trying to avoid massive recalls. I'd like to know how many people have had the violent truck shaking incidents compared to the slight/annoying vibrations due to climate compressor etc.

Do you have the chirp at start up and when the AC runs?

No chirp sound

Just vibration and the one occurence at idle where the entire truck was violently shaking/shuddering. Almost like the drive shaft was out of balance or the engine mounts were shot.

At driving speeds it's perfect. No engine lights/codes etc.

Was curious if you could fall into the TSB for the chirp issue. I think I've seen that resolved the shaking as well. But if you don't have the chirp it wouldn't be eligible.

I’ve traded my ‘24 in and am now driving a ‘26, the shake is still there but doesn’t seem as bad, although I only have 1000 miles on it so far.
