For those of y’all that had to add the front cross member to install a skid plate - I found a couple varying designs and wanted to see if one was better than the other? (One version mounted to the same holes and front recovery point and another saw looked like it mounted to the frame?). Anyhow I picked up a LC front skid plate during the holiday sale so now need the front cross member to get it installed. Thanks yall!

Where the mounting holes are on your skid plate should dictate where/what type of cross member you need. If you line everything up to check the fit you’ll be able to see where the section that attaches to the cross member is located. If the hole location is the same, perhaps someone more knowledgeable could explain why one may be better than the other.
Edit: I posted a thread with pictures after doing my install—— if it would help you to see them the last pic is the cross member attached to where the front tow hooks are located.
